Ozwin Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Please tell me some of you watch this show. It's probably my favourite show on telly at the moment, on par or higher than The Office. It's just brilliant, Leon is the best sitcom character I've seen in years, everything he says makes me piss myself. If you havn't seen it and you love things like The Office then check it out. It's genius and so is Larry David.
Mark Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 I watch it, have only seen series 1 though, keep meaning to check out some more!
Ozwin Posted 27 October 2009 Author Posted 27 October 2009 Season 1 is the slowest season, there's no arc to it so it's harder to stick with. Season 2 is where it really kicks in, you won't regret moving onwards.
Guest Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Bought the box set seasons 1-5 the other year, definitely up there with my favourites. I still can't decide whether the episode with the chef with tourettes (restaurant opening) is my favourite or the one with the mis-spelled eulogy in the paper (beloved ****)
Unit Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Love it, my favourite programme. Time to get the newest episode!
Jay Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 love this show I think everyone has a bit of Larry David in them some of my top episodes are krazzee eyes Killa "you like eating pussy Larry", Kamikaze Bingo, the one where he steals the flowers from the funkhauser memorial, The Freak book with John Mcenroe actually the series has had some real classics just a shame More4 stick it on so late keep forgetting the new series is on as well
purpleronnie Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Great show especially considering a lot of its improvised.
Ozwin Posted 27 October 2009 Author Posted 27 October 2009 The newest episode's ending is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
AmericanScott Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 One of the best shows i've ever watched. Seasons 1-6 boxset on Amazon is only £45! Getting that for my xmas present. One of my favorite scenes was from last season "Who the fook is Anonymous?" "Oh i know, it's Ted Danson" It's only funny if you've seen the episode
Unit Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 best one in a while = last weeks wheelchair episode
MauriceJobson Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 One of my favourite bits is in the episode where Cheryl thinks Larry is obsessed with asses. The conversation between Larry and Jeff's mother when he's driving her to the hotel and sarcastically agreeing with her assessment that he's a disgusting human being is priceless. "In fact I don't even have a bed. When I get home I just sleep on a big pile of clothes"
AmericanScott Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 best one in a while = last weeks wheelchair episode Is that the one on tonight on More4? I've been waiting for this moment all week I need a Curb fix.
Budweiser Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 Absolutely love it. My favourite programme on tv. Pure genius. My favourite clip of Curb is when Larry, Jeff & co are opening up their new restuarant. They hire a french chef after recommendation from a friend (who gets Larry back & they didn't realise he had tourettes) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsRJYPr1Dnw You need to watch the episode really! But still, Jeff !
Ozwin Posted 29 October 2009 Author Posted 29 October 2009 I always find that scene awkward because Chery's swearing part is so lame compared to everyone elses. >_>
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 "What happens to the moustache in a coma?"
Unit Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 watched the last in the series today, fooking mocha joe!
Monk Posted 26 November 2009 Posted 26 November 2009 I'm a HUGE Seinfeld fan, so I've been trying to get into this recently. I like it, but it's almost like fawlty towers esq in the sense that you know something disasterous is going to happen, which I find kinda frustrating. Having said that I've only watched season 1 episodes 1-3 so perhaps I should keep going.

Having said that I've only watched season 1 episodes 1-3 so perhaps I should keep going. It does get better so i'd at least watch the rest of the series. If you're still not sure then it probably isnt for you I guess.
MauriceJobson Posted 28 November 2009 Posted 28 November 2009 JEFF "These big vagina ladies are getting away with murder. Something should be done, I don't know what can be done but something should be done." LARRY "You know what, we're a hell of a lot more discreet than they are. They can't get enough of this thing can they? Well this is me from now on...." LARRY TO LEWIS'S NURSE "I submit, you took that baseball, STASHED it in your unusually large vagina and walked right on out of here!"
Jay Posted 28 November 2009 Posted 28 November 2009 The Black Swan episode the other night was brilliant!!! I just love the way a small event at the start of every episode develops and all comes together at the end like with the stonemason
Ozwin Posted 30 November 2009 Author Posted 30 November 2009 JEFF \"These big vagina ladies are getting away with murder. Well this is me from now on....\" LARRY TO LEWIS\'S NURSE \"I submit, you took that baseball, STASHED it in your unusually large vagina and walked right on out of here!\" That episode is hilarious, one of my favourites. I love the sign they do with their hands to signify a big vagina haha, and their faces when they do it.
Finchy Posted 7 January 2010 Posted 7 January 2010 "A woman is very afraid of the size of her opening" The best start to a joke ever. Got the box set 1-6 for Xmas, just about every episode is superb.
