robhulse4england Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 which signing of levein has been the best so far Maybury or Mcarthy?
Benji Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 hughes... seriously hughes but out of them two maybury, he's had more chances to impress with games mccarthy could be a great centre back for us
Kingy Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 Hughes Maybury and Mcarthy are all quality Hughes is best thus far
cono Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 hughes and mCcarthy are quality but maybury has been the best so far!
Chimp Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 Mybury has certainly been the most consistent, I can't remember a bad game for him. Hughes has made some excellent appearances and obviously ha a lot of potential. I'm not 100% convinced with McCarthy yet - he's put in some solid appearances but there's some areas where he needs to improve.
City Fan Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 Hughes is the best, shortly followed by Maybury. I think McCarthy is overated....
Scow Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 Hughes is the best, shortly followed by Maybury. I think McCarthy is overated.... 106782[/snapback] Care to explain?
City Fan Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 He is still a good player but in my opinion he isnt as good as everyone says he is. His positioning can be a bit wayward at times but he is still a quality player.
Louise Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 Hughes has real touches of quality and great vision, however his match-fitness is lacking and we can't have seen the best of him yet because of that. Also he needs to play in the centre, not on the right. Maybury is sometimes beaten too easily and is not a left sided player so his performances suffer when he's played there. However, he's quick, clever, has an eye for goal and is very committed. McCarthy fouls players too many times, but more from inexperience than stupidity. At least it shows he has the 'hunger and passion' that Levein wants. He is quick and committed. I prefer him at CB over a lot of our [now released] team. He's not a right-back though, so lets not play him there. To a certain extent all of our good signings (and youngsters) have been hyped too much. And who can blame people when you compare them to what we had before. I believe they will probably live up to their hype but I'm going to just take it slowly and enjoy their progression rather than expect a Premiership performance from them in every game. I like them all
Leicesterboi Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 Hughes and maybury are both quality and offer different qualitites to the team- both INDISPENSIBLE :P
lcfc true blue josh 18 Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 mccarthy is class, he has been the best 100 grand we ave ever spent on a player
EmLeee Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 um well i'd have to say McCarthy ... but for no particular reason
