RedHux Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Your not famous. Clough was famous, Money get's you fame. You've had your 15mins of fame, and have stepped aside now. People sing the clough song, me and the lad at the side of me were, and were c*nts, but we don't care. Clough got you fame, you've done fook all since pal. You're right. You were ****s.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 You're right. You were ****s. I admit it. I don't care.
RedHux Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 When I said it, it was more aimed at the fans who as you said, beat other teams and their fans over the head with their history, not the people who know where they are.Same happens with us and the MON years sometimes. It's understandable though given our recent histories.
RAFRUDY Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Oh dear. Another Forest fan who thinks he supports the English Real Madrid.Just to let you in on a little secret, Clough's achievements with you were admired because he achieved them with a small and unfashionable club, He took a mediocre second tier side to domestic and European glory. Liverpool won back-to-back European Cups immediately before you yet Liverpool fans don't just go on about 77 and 78. Why do you think that is? A clue coming up: 1981, 1984 and 2005. Or to put it in blunt terms, they've no need to witter on about those two successes as they have another three to go with them. That's what I call a massive club, not the very epitome of a flash in the pan like their successors in 79. Meanwhile Forest never hit the heights of the early 80s again thereafter, and have reverted to exactly what they were when Clough arrived. A mediocre second-tier side, dwarfed by the true giants of the game. If you had half a chance of returning to those heights of 79 and 80, you'd have every right to think yourselves massive. The fact is, that in 2009, you don't and are therefore no bigger than any other Midlands club in the Championship with a half-decent fanbase and this includes ourselves, Derby and West Brom. As I've said before, we know where we are in the game. Learn the same and stop thinking yourselves 'world-famous'. spot on!

Corky Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 ridiculous, keep telling yourself if it makes you feel better It's true though. In 2009, you are a similar club to us- similar league form, similar crowds.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 Two and a half days later, and the MASSIVE clubs fans are still on the forum of the tiny little club. Don't you get bored of this? Luckily enough I don't actually care about Forest as I don't live near Nottingham, not that I like them as the place is a shithole, went there on a school trip a few years ago, the first person we saw when we got there was a homeless addict. Only thing that could make me hate Forest is the stupid ****s who claimed we were cheating when Clive Clarke suffered a heart failiure. I mean seriously, thats just fooking stupid. As in Coventry level of stupidity.
Alan Johnson Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 If you wanted to look up a definition for the scum of Britain you might as well be directed to this video. Some people say Hitler was crazy. I say their crazy. I don't think many would be complaining if concentration camps were brought back to house these cretins. Council living, benefit fraud ****wits. Makes my blood boil. Have fun in your debt ridden lives. A.Johnson

My favourite part of this is your name PSYCHO, you love to portray this skinhead hooligan when we all know you go to 14 games a year, you're obese and can't drink beer because of your dietry problems. Go back to your own place you bellend.

chesterfox Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 my memory of Forest fans in the 70s was one of turncoats changing from Derby to Forest with the regularity of Clough changing teams - they were all morons highlighted with their moronic chanting of ''on''. Don't feel the need to justify my support for my home city to self deluded morons. Really it has been three days that these morons still insist on infesting our site...........we will bounce back as we always do and last weeks result will just go away as I wish these morons would.
Darkzzz_ Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 I believe the game on Saturday actually sold a few more tickets than the so called 'bigger' Derby game. Bilo summed up what I feel too, good post that really does sum up Forest in general.

Bilo summed up what I feel too, good post that really does sum up Forest in general. It did. But then we don't allow the sheep as many tickets and whole blocks are used as segregation. Also, the atmosphere for those games is pretty hostile (obvoulsy not a Celtic/rangers hostile or even Partizan/Red star but still fairly hostile), whereas Saturday it was quite nice. I stood chatting to city fans at the entrance of bridgford lower which would never happen when the other lot visit.

I personally wouldn't be able to chat with a Coventry fan like that, I hate them a lot more than you lot. Forest fans have a little more class than those ******.
RedHux Posted 8 December 2009 Posted 8 December 2009 yea, it's nice and good being able to chat to you lot with little fear of abuse. We got a bit swamped when all the coaches arrived and my son got all fidgety, but then he's 15 and knows nowt. Besides which, had we got into trouble I would've just ran around shouting foxestalk and hoped to be bailed out that way

Of course Saturday hurt, I am still livid but what is punching a Forest fan going to solve. We still got hammered either way. You just have to look forward and try and seek some revenge.

MASSIVE. I repeat once more. Forest were a small club before Clough, an unfashionable ragged bunch from an unremarkable city in the East Midlands. Sound familiar? You admit as much when you say you were a 'Stoke' before Clough arrived. If Stoke won the Champions League next season, could they be classed alongside Liverpool and Manchester United as English giants. They'd be a fair few FA Cups and league titles short of such a status, much like yourselves. The only clubs in England I would define as massive (i.e. Real, Barca, Inter, AC and Bayern equivalent) are those two clubs. As for big clubs; Villa, Tottenham and Everton enjoy lofty positions in the Premiership for a reason. I digress. Forest's extraordinary success under Clough's tenure was nothing short of miraculous given they were playing against far bigger fish. The fact is that Forest were never 'massive', if they were Clough would have been able to build on their success in Europe and turn the club into a real force. If Forest were truly massive, they would probably have been able to compete in the Premiership, would not have gone down to the second tier with relegation to the third tier followed by a three year stay unthinkable without a Leeds style financial cataclysm. All that has happened since Clough left the City Ground is that Forest have returned to their natural level of mediocre second tier side, much like the other Midlands clubs I mentioned earlier. You accuse me of acting like a jealous kid, seems to me the only person behaving as a child is you with your 'my dad's bigger than your dad' mentality towards our respective histories when the blunt truth is that in the eyes of the football world, the two of us are just snot-nosed kids not yet ready to mix it with the big boys.
