nuneatonfox Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 I love boxing day games, but the problem is there's no trains or buses on Boxing Day. If you haven't got a car you simply can't go. So It looks like it's going to be under 19,000 crowd
lavrentis Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 Toughie but I think I might go for option C.
Guest Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 Is it me, but does the thread title make no sense? I'm sitting here trying to work out what it means, and I have a trial to prep for tomorrow.
The Doctor Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 shouldn't this be in the city section not general chat?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 Despie beingh on TV it should be a fairly good crowd as there are cheap tickets available.
Guest Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 shouldn't this be in the city section not general chat? I'm not moving it until I know what the thread title means.
skinnydipper Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 Is it me, but does the thread title make no sense? I'm sitting here trying to work out what it means, and I have a trial to prep for tomorrow. Really ?
Guest Mee-9 Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 Is it me, but does the thread title make no sense? I'm sitting here trying to work out what it means, and I have a trial to prep for tomorrow. Plus the fact that this thread is pointless.
The Doctor Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 I'm not moving it until I know what the thread title means. the OP has attempted to put "can you get to the boxing day game" but has managed to screw up majorly.
Guest Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 Really ? To me it is. It's really a pretend one, but in true barrister fashion, I am prepping by drinking red wine. Actually, that's not a good thing to admit to you, as I may apply to your chambers one day!! the OP has attempted to put "can you get to the boxing day game" but has managed to screw up majorly. Just one little word would have saved me this stress.

Good luck As for red wine, George Carman seemed to do alright after a night on the claret Wonder what the poor little bugger who'll be up against you is drinking
Libertine Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 I'll go for 'No I don't fell like it', Skip.

One is a really nice girl, the other is a tee-totaller who mixes red and white wine to make rose, drinks Baileys, but doesn't touch alcohol. I am confident of sending one of the "crims" down but not the other. I need to show that they are mates, which they are denying. I have googled their addresses, and am currently finding out if I can cross-examine them on basis they live round the corner from each other. Hurrah!Thread name changed Thank goodness for that.

LCFC-ARAB Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 That would be the plan, if they were real. Oh haha gotcha!
Guest Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 Oh hahagotcha! You couldn't let me near a real trial just yet. Not unless I only cross-examine!!

As one Crown Court Judge put it to a rather red faced junior " Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Pisspoor Performance "
Guest Posted 16 December 2009 Posted 16 December 2009 Just remember The 7 Ps. As one Crown Court Judge put it to a rather red faced junior" Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Pisspoor Performance " We've been told that by a Crown Court Judge! And yesterday in our Negotiation seminar. I will dream this case tonight, I have read it so much!
Fosse Boy Posted 17 December 2009 Posted 17 December 2009 For some reason, whenever nuneatonfox pops up, I get reminded of a classic Garteth Keenan quote. "So, condoms come in all different flavours now, like strawberry and curry and that. Do you like curry?" No idea why.
purpleronnie Posted 17 December 2009 Posted 17 December 2009 Last boxing game I went to was if memory serves me right watford around 1993 what a game that was.
