Were looking at Krakov for stag doo in June , we considering Budapest, Riga and Talinn too. Not sure if the latter places want 25 english pissheads in thier beautiful city though

Not sure if the latter places want 25 english pissheads in thier beautiful city though Had a look at those especially Talinn but apparently it is tiny and reading some of the reviews quite a few gangsters ready to rip you off over there.
lou Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Ive been - its immense! Over 200 bars and clubs in a 2 square KM radius! We only saw one incident of trouble (at the English bar - the John Bull) and the Polish police were there in seconds and had it sorted. No messing. Brilliant place, we didnt do the clubs (Im a bit old for all that) but there were loads of stag dos on there - full of youngsters but no mess and no trouble. Have fun. We found an Irish bar that did cheap drinks and the measures are more Bacardi than coke! PS... Its Krakow Pronounced Krackoff Dont suppose youll be interested on a stag do but the place is gorgeous with lots of history and 10th/12th century Architecture

Then again i suppose i should look after my passport Noooo there was an equal amount of hen do's too and the polish girls were beautiful (in my hubbys opinion) Ive been told its a cheaper Prague but I havent been to Prague so cant confirm.
Dr The Singh Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 A work collegue is married to a girl from Krakow, he highly recommends it, although they are beggining to frown upon 'english' stag doos, and a few bars don't allow 'english' speaking. My collegue said, it's best to go now or very soon before it gets overun and spoilt, then no bars will let the 'english' in. Like Lou said it's a cheaper version of prague but with more nightlife!!

The salt mines are amazing though and worth every penny. Theres a whole cathedral down there carved out of the salt rock. Its unbelievable.

Was thinking of going there but might put a bit of a pisser on things with it being a stag do. Possibly may go with my soon to be wife at a later date as she is in to WWII stuff (if we can palm the kids off on someone for the weekend).

Ive been told it compares very favourably to Budapest too, hope you enjoy it. Im definately gonna go back one day and said Id buy a property over there if I ever had the dosh.

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 3 March 2010 Posted 3 March 2010 Came back on Monday from this place and had a wild time although the locals do not like groups of Englishmen pissed up in their City!! Lost my wallet on the first night and had to cancel my cards only to find out that I was so pissed I gave my wallet to one of the lads to get me some fags and he was too pissed to remember till next morning. All in all it was a great time but it is full of Mafia run places who try to rob you at every opportunity. Also on 3 seperate occasions on the Saturday night I was offered out by the locals for no other reason I was near them when they decided to kick off. Would not go back again now I have been and there will be far better places to go for a stag do. The women over there though are stunning!!
