Wayne Brown is all effort and little ability. He has been shown up time and time again, and his distribution from the back is dreadful. I changed it because I decided that mid game was not the time to be criticizing a player. I can only assume Hobbs is not 100%

Flynny Posted 10 January 2010 Posted 10 January 2010 I thought Neilson was worse. Always tries his best but just short of the pace and quality we need and was exposed by a 16 year old today. His distribution was terrible, which you don't expect from a full-back but is more forgiveable from a centre-back. When we were exerting pressure with 4 strikers on the pitch he was far better but he was totally unable to deal with being quickly closed down. McGivern wasn't much better (lost count of times he just ran into a player and the ball bobbled away) but no-one's expecting him to be first choice, left-backs are harder to find, and I thought he did well to recover from conceding an own goal even though he wasn't really much better than Neilson on the balance of play.
