Myself and a mate were chatting yesterday and `somehow` ended up talking about the positioning of tv cameras at footy grounds..

now, there are probably hundreds, but can anyone think of a ground where the dugouts/technical areas are in full view of the cameras?

i tried to think of one untill boredom set in.

The Walkers Stadium or Filbert Way if you wanna call it that is a generic bowl stadium similar to many modern day stadium and in no way is unique.

Is Villa, Cov, Everton, Tottenham all do so no.

I don't think Villa's does actually. I'm 99% sure their cameras are in the Trinity Stand, the same as the dug outs. Unless they've moved them into the Doug Ellis in the last few years

Filbert Way is a joke. The only saving graces are L1 and the very rare Continental SK1.

To be fair to the ugly plastic bastard, this whole league is a joke. Forest are the only team I can remember having anything resembling what would have been considered an atmosphere 10 years ago.

FFS - I'd naively thought that Leeds last season might be the point at which people realised that if they're willing to try, and especially if the team are doing something memorable, atmosphere and 'character' will follow naturally.

It's just not about the layout, structure or nature of the stadium, it's about the people in it.

I could have been in any stadium in the world (Bernabeu, Old Trafford, San Siro) and it couldn't have mattered less, when Howard's header hit the back of the net, or when we were getting the Cheltenham conga going, or when we went 3-2 ahead against Huddersfield, or even when Barry Hayles shinned us ahead against Palace in 2008, and those are just off the top of my head from the last couple of seasons...

Why must you all be so stubbornly negative? You're not getting Filbert Street back, so why not make the most of where you are now?

Great post. Couldn't agree more. Our fans ability to turn negative so quickly contributed to the relegation of this football club.

That's the true source..

Plus at least the WS isn't as shit as Cardiff's stadium was yesterday. It looked 10 years old already!

I never argued it wasn't. But if half of our support wasn't so damned negative half the time....

Thanks - I think this might be the first time anyone has ever agreed with me on anything on here... :scarf:
