I cannot remember his exact words but he did state money would be available in January for Mr Pearson. So whats going on ? very simple, Milan won't spend any cash & We have no money for transfers! Talk is cheap!

We have had enough years of contstant change. As the likes of DJ and Dickov go from the wage bill we should be able to bring some others in, but it makes little sense to risk the clubs financial future on the off chance we might get promoted this season.

The first time he wants us to even suspect something is going on is when he makes a press announcement. Until then he likes everything locked down and quiet. He will not talk about targets and he wont talk about money. He certainly wont be messed about by other clubs and players if he feels he is being played off by one against the other. MM is a bit of a showman and therefore likes to brag a bit. Sure there is money there - how much who knows?

Hmmm that's how it was portrayed in the press, the reality is that we don't really know how much financial 'trouble' the club was in beforehand. We seemed to recover as well as could be expected from the administration of 02/03. The only major debt the club had, and still has, is paying off the stadium.

I'll bet it is more than that but unfortunately DJ is contracted to us till the end of next season so I imagine he will not be going anywhere unless he is willing to take a pay cut.

Even if we're not gunna wax the cash of permanent signings, bit suprised we're not in for players like this to be honest. I've always rated him and he can play wing or up top. Two positions where we're not exactly prospering atm.
