kimbell Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 I have just heard the following, Ian Stringer talking to Mr Pearson Ian Stringer "Does 3 defeats in a row make you re-evaluate your situation as regards the January transfer window" Mr Pearson's reply " No because curcumstances remain the same, we are not going to be able to spend any money" My question is I can clearly remember MM pledging money for a promotion push. I cannot remember his exact words but he did state money would be available in January for Mr Pearson. So whats going on ?

There's nothing left in the £25million pot he was going to spend on the club Hasn't the penny dropped yet Mandaric's a bullshitter!

No cash in the piggy bank by the sounds of it,yet mandaric was trying to tap up davids, again it seems the chairman was using it as a PR Exercise i find it frustrating that he should come out with statements if they are not true
Shrenchel Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Mandy's choking on his own shit is what. He's other got to be completely brassic or have very poor business sense because it doesn't make sense to me. He can fork out 4 or 5 million now to give us an excellent chance of making the play-offs or we can tread water in this fvcking league forever with the club (and I presume him) losing millions of pounds every season.
suffolk fox Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 What has not helped us is Mr Mandaric made that statement re play off push and funds available prior to being charged with tax evasion. Now he must be very worried cos it may reult in a hefty fine or possibly worse. Therefore he has to put his own interests first that is possibly why we won't be speanding any money in January.
tewkesbury-fox Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Far from selling up, Mandaric also revealed that he would be prepared to invest more money in the club if Pearson identified a key player. He continued: "If there is a real need and a player like David Beckham or someone like him is available, and Nigel says he must really have that player, then there will be no problem. I would support him 100 per cent. Its ok if MM can choose who he can bring in the moneys available providing he can sell a shit load of shirts and tickets on the back of it.. obviously dosent rate Nigels transfer targets..
Zingari Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 i taking this to mean , (hopefully anyway ) we don't have huge amounts of cash but if a player becomes available that would "significantly improve the team" , we might be interested but not we're paying silly money i'm pretty sure he said something along these lines a few weeks back
David Guiza Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Anybody with 2 brain cells can see the top 3 are there because of the money they have spent. Newcaslte- Not so much this season but how much the current XI is worth is ridiculous. Forest- Strikers alone are worth more then our team. West Brom- Dito. Also teams like Cardiff and Sheff Utd have spent decent amounts of money, even though some wasted on players like Ched Evans.
Lillehamring Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 maybe they just realised that there's no point spending a couple of hundred K, when we actually need to spend millions, which we don't have....

Shrenchel Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Looks like Forest are gunna get Victor Moses for bout 2 million. Jammy bastards. Wish our rich cvnt was actually rich.
Ozwin Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Forest buying their way out of the league I see. I hope it blow up in their faces come the end of the season.
Shrenchel Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Unless they jizz all over each other when they win the league, it's not gunna blow up in their faces. Their team is peng.
eaststandtom Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 lets face it, the guys that NP has brought in havent exactly improved the team from last season. other wise we would have a settled line up. the likes of king, howard and dyer who have all been dropped get chances back in the team because the recent signings are not taking theirs. i expect more from the signings we have made so far. even wellens who has flattered to deceive and needs more competition for his place
Ultra Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Billy Davies was found out in the top flight before. There's every prospect of a repeat.. On more serious matters, Mandaric has been paying out on us ever since he took us over. It was always a question rather than if the money would run dry. If he's decided (as a very well-placed source at the club suggests) to flog Fryatt in an attempt to cut his losses, he's earned the right to do that, whatever some on here might think. We and Pearson will just have to live with the consequences.
Ozwin Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Unless they jizz all over each other when they win the league, it's not gunna blow up in their faces. Their team is peng. Bugs me how Billy Davis says they don't want to get promoted yet they're buying every black speedy gonzalez going. You don't spend that much without the intention of getting promoted, it'd make my year if they fook it up and struggle next year financially.
Guest Bilo Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Billy Davies was found out in the top flight before. There's every prospect of a repeat.. Yeah, the Davies and Earnshaw Show had the Premiership rolling in the aisles in 2007 when they were at Derby. If Forest do go up (not certain yet, everyone thought Leeds were certainties in League One until the last few weeks) they will be down faster than Jodie Marsh's kecks in Chinawhite and we'd get to enjoy the carnage.

A Portsmouth style financial implosion would be amazing comedy as one of football's most arrogant clubs gets a well-deserved comedown. Mean spirited I know but fed up with Forest fans on my FB thinking they're awesome again when they haven't played a Premiership match this century.
dandannieldanok Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 The thing that bugs me about this supposed lack of cash is that Mandaric was last charted at a worth of £75m. Now of course the guy has spent lots of money on us and there are certain debts, but surely he's still got plenty to spend if the manager sees fit? I'm personally not bothered that we're not buying, if I was Pearson I wouldn't bother in this window, but it's disappointing to hear that there isn't any cash available.

The 2009/2010 rich list put him at 55m. Piss-stained pub peanuts in footballing terms.

jonthefox Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 The 2009/2010 rich list put him at 55m. Piss-stained pub peanuts in footballing terms. Cheers. That made me laugh after a bad day. Seriously , mm`s losing (make that haemorrageing) money, so he would be daft to buy new players at the minute..
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 We need an update on MMs three year plan to the Premiership. And not another tax update. Although we all know what will come first...
