Guest Bilo Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 Finding Firefox very unreliable and memory hungry with Internet Explorer annoying prone to crashing, as well as losing my page when it does. Is Google Chrome actually worth a try or is it too new and riddled with bugs?
Finnegan Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 I use chrome, I like it. It's faster and more secure and I get to have a pretty skin. It was always inevitable that the more popular Firefox got, the more of the market share it got, the more targeted by hackers it'd be. Sad reality of the browser world is you need to keep getting the latest "indie" browsers to minimalize the problems, I guess.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 Opera, never had a problem and works better than the others IMO.
Hitesh Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 Firefox mainly because some site for work don't work too well on Chrome. However, I do like Chrome otherwise!
dandannieldanok Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 I use Chrome mostly, generally quick and uncluttered. I have Firefox as a backup because Chrome is unreliable with certain flash items. Internet explorer has always been pathetic for me.
grth2004 Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 been using chrome for a couple of weeks and i love it . one of the best options is the incognito window which doesnt keep any history of surfing only problems ive had with it is some sites dont support it yet but im sure they will catch up soon
Leicfox Posted 29 January 2010 Posted 29 January 2010 I've found Safari is quickest for me... Never tried Chrome though.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 Must admit I've been trying Chrome for a couple of days and it's bloody impressive. Doesn't crash like Firefox does and doesn't freeze like Internet Explorer. The only problem I've found so far is that it's relatively new and therefore some sites and apps don't support it yet, but for normal day to day stuff it's pretty excellent to be honest.
Podge Posted 4 February 2010 Posted 4 February 2010 I still use firefox, don't really get any problems with it doesnt crash and allows FM to run smoothly alongside it, although i do have chrome it's just unused
StanSP Posted 4 February 2010 Posted 4 February 2010 Chrome . If you're on Twitter too, get the Chromed Bird app. Very quick and handy* *Nathko directed me to this handy app
