How much is your vote worth?

I know as we're all Leicester fans there are a fair few who will end up in the same constituency, but how powerful will your vote be at the General Election, use THIS site to find out.

After doing mine, it's pretty pointless me voting

In Leicestershire South, one person does not really have one vote, they have the equivalent of 0.166 votes.
The average UK voter has 1.52x more voting power than voters in Leicestershire South.

What are everyone elses constituency results? Is it worth you voting?

And take a look at some of the safest seats. In Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough, your voting power is 0.002 :o

Given the fact my constituency is firmly Lib Dem (since 1997) and isn't likely to change, I wasn't expecting much. Turns out it's pretty low

In Twickenham, one person does not really have one vote, they have the equivalent of 0.118 votes. The average UK voter has 2.13x more voting power than voters in Twickenham. Twickenham ranks #363 out of 650 constituencies in the Voter Power Index.

Constituency size

+5.24%

This constituency is bigger than average, which means a voter here is less likely to affect the national result.

Number of voters: 72,018

Average constituency: 68,433

You can get more info about your constituency here, including which are targeted by the different parties.

In Harborough, one person does not really have one vote, they have the equivalent of 0.367 votes.

Well, you, me and my other half have got a vote between us, then. Mr Posh Garnier still going to win, though. Sorry.

26% of my the constiuency of Erdington voted for Sion Simon - and three quarters of us have had to suffer the ignorant little twat.

My vote is equivalent to 0.040 votes.

I have no representation for my views (donkey sex or otherwise) within parliament. My vote is totally and utterly fucking useless.

=====================

So, the idiot-child, Simon, has resigned - who do we have being shoe-horned into the safe seat next? Jack fucking bent as a nine bob note Dromey.

Dromey, Harriet Harman's husband (nothing like jobs for the boys, eh?), is a leading light in the TGWU. He is the cunt who, as treasurer of the Labour party, failed to notice £3,500,000's worth of loans to the party, failed to notice that those who made them received life peerages and that he'd accepted £630,000 of illegal donations to the party.

He lives in a lovely country house in Suffolk. He doesn't live here, he doesn't experience the lives of those who do and doesn't give a flying shit about the constituents. He embodies everything that stinks about modern politics: the lies, the back-scratching, the manoeuvring.

I shouldn't be given a vote, I should be given a petrol can and a box of fucking matches.

According to that my postcode puts me in the Charnwood constituency when I'm actually in Blaby which it doesn't recognise as a constituency :dunno:

I think Blaby is now part of Leicestershire South.

Not according to the Leicestershire CC website - http://www.leics.gov...ituencymap.htm.

Just checked my official polling card and it seems I'm in Charnwood - not sure why when I pay my Council Tax to Blaby District Council and contacted them to get on the electoral roll, I've never had any contact previously with Charnwood - seems like some mixed up bag of political mumbo jumbo to me and makes me feel even less like voting.

I'm guessing that it's because there's been a boundary change and you'll be paying your council tax to Charnwood council now

Following its review of parliamentary representation in Leicestershire, the Boundary Commission for England has made minor alterations to the existing boundaries of Blaby, which it has been re-named South Leicestershire.

Looks like you may have been affected by the 'minor alterations'

It's no longer the Blaby district, it's South Leicestershire

So the LCC website still says Blaby and I've been moved to Charnwood even though I pay my council tax to Blaby and registered through them for the electoral roll and no bugger is bothered to tell me I've been moved.

Why would I want a Charnwood MP when I live in Blaby District which is now part of South Leicestershire?

As I said nice of them not to let me know!

Nope still paying it to Blaby and they still empty my dustbins, the whole thing is totally demotivating it's feels like I don't exist or at best am being totally ignored.

I never felt less like voting than I do at this time. Fook Em!

I meant after the election. The changes have happened as part of the election, so I'm guessing after that your council tax and the like will change as well.

Edit: To be honest, I have no idea, I'm just speculating. It's a bit off not telling you about it!

I'd love it, LOVE IT, if the Lib Dem bloke got in.

Only the English Democrats candidate has bothered to respond properly to the e-mail I sent to all the candidates yesterday. BMX Boy Garnier sent me an e-mail back asking for my address though...

I'm really not sure that kind of story is going to knock "Guerrilla Gardeners" off the pages of such a reputable publication to be honest...

In Kettering, one person does not really have one vote, they have the equivalent of 1.011 votes.

Which, had the house sale gone through quicker, would have been my 1.011 vote too.

It's still a split between Tory and Labour though, it'd take something amazing for anyone else to get in. I think Hollobone has consolidated his tenure over the last term in office.

A packet of Opal Fruits and a packet of Skittles both with the yellow ones than those manky purple ones.

Like another poster in the other thread (sorry, can't remember who) I emailed all of our prospective MP's. Only Hollobone has responded. It was a pretty lengthy, personal response too. Impressed.
