Salieri Posted 23 April 2010 Posted 23 April 2010 I'd put Chris Weale right up there (although biased of course!) To throw another name into the hat, Charlie Adam has been a superb signing for Blackpool. What other players does everyone else think have proved to be a shrewd signing this season?
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 23 April 2010 Posted 23 April 2010 I would agree, around 500k for Hobbs n all.
ScouseFox Posted 23 April 2010 Posted 23 April 2010 Are we including loan signings? Waggy's up there. although again, that's biased.
lildave3 Posted 23 April 2010 Posted 23 April 2010 Hard to look past Adam really, basically carried Blackpool to the brink of the playoffs. Toss up between him and Dorrans for player of the season.
Salieri Posted 24 April 2010 Author Posted 24 April 2010 Hard to look past Adam really, basically carried Blackpool to the brink of the playoffs. Surely Dudley Junior deserves that accolade?!
Guest NGoloMode Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Charlie Adam had been brilliant this season.
dandannieldanok Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 It's hard to say having only seen the main contenders either once or twice, but I'd say Darren Ambrose. Brilliant signing, cost them nothing (except wages), provides both goals and assists. Yes Charlie Adam has undoubtedly been good, but he cost £500,000.
Bakey Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Billy Sharp perhaps, done really well for Doncaster this season with 15 league goals.
lcfc_jme Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Charlie Adam - the man has almost single-handedly dragged Blackpool from mid-table mediocrity to the playoffs; he is to Blackpool what Bruno Berner is to us this season.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Agree with those saying Charlie Adam because he's been the difference for Blackpool this season. Still think Weale runs him close though. Played in every game for a play-off team this season and didn't cost a penny.
Mav Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Charlie Adam should only be a mere mention. He disappeared big time at their place when we played them after the abuse we gave him before the match. I would say a shortlist of: Graham Dorrans Paul Anderson Jack Hobbs

The Doctor Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 i'd say weale. free signing, reserve keeper for a mid-table championship side to have stepped up and played every game for a newly promoted team chasing play-offs and keeping 16 clean sheets in the process - that takes some beating. adams & ambrose deserve a mention as well.
Simi Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Hard to judge outside of our club really being as we've not seen enough of everyone else. For us, obviously Weale has been a sublime signing and key player for us in the future.
leicesterfox86 Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Billy Sharp perhaps, done really well for Doncaster this season with 15 league goals. Yep, decent shout - kept them up really.
Peter File Posted 2 May 2010 Posted 2 May 2010 Majewski and Gunter have both been excellent for Forest.
