ian_marshall Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Just an idea, but despite last nights result I feel very proud of what the team managed to achieve this season and would really like the opportunity to show my support to the players for their efforts this season, especially as some of them may not be around next season I.e Waggy, Spearing, Vaughan, etc, so I was wondering what the likelihood is of some sort of homecoming for the boys? What's everyone else's thoughts? Could we make this happen?
Guest Mee-9 Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Doubt it mate, this normally only happens when you win something big, like when Pompey won the FA cup. Would be a nice idea, to show the players how much we appreciate there efforts this season.

ian_marshall Posted 13 May 2010 Author Posted 13 May 2010 Lets not go nuts! How small time would that be??? I understand what you're saying, I just think it's sad that players will now leave the club on a low following last nights defeat, and that the fans won't get the opportunity to show their appreciation. Maybe a friendly would resolve this?
CheshireFox Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 tbh i think we already had the mick taken out of us for having a song 'to celebrate getting into the playoffs' (even though of course we know that wasnt the point of the song ourselves). celebratory parades are ok when youve won but we didnt and so most people would say 'why celebrate a loss'? although your idea is a very nice one, i cant imagine the players would like it either tbh- its nice to show them that we love leicester no matter what but i can imagine they just want to put it all behind them and move on. the best way to show the players how much we appreciate them and the work they have done this season is to renew season tickets/memberships etc and get to as many games as possible and SING OUR HEARTS OUT FOR THE LADS!!!
Master Fox Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Erm, how about NO! What a shit idea. You should be ashamed
Edmund Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I think we should organise an open top bus to parade down Granby Street
ozleicester Posted 14 May 2010 Posted 14 May 2010 Perhaps squeeze them into the Lord Mayoral Mercedes... that apparently doesnt have any use at the moment.
iancognito Posted 14 May 2010 Posted 14 May 2010 Parades are for winning cups & leagues and gaining promotion. Whatever the circumstances around it, we lost and we move on.
