ScouseFox Posted 26 May 2010 Posted 26 May 2010 England (from): Andrew Strauss (Middlesex, capt), Alastair Cook (Essex), Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire), Kevin Pietersen (Hampshire), Ian Bell (Warwickshire), Eoin Morgan (Middlesex), Matt Prior (Sussex, wk), Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire), Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire), James Anderson (Lancashire), Steve Finn (Middlesex), Ajmal Shahzad (Yorkshire). Glad to see Morgan given a chance for a test series. Bangladesh seem to be improving, but we should be too strong for them.
Fosse Boy Posted 26 May 2010 Author Posted 26 May 2010 Yeah I hope Morgan does himself justice an' all.
Fosse Boy Posted 27 May 2010 Author Posted 27 May 2010 Strauss and Trott on for tons by the looks of things.
ScouseFox Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 Bordering on the boring side of easy. Too right, don't look even slightly challenged by anything really.
ScouseFox Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 Too right, don't look even slightly challenged by anything really. Fatal
Mack Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 we are not going to break a sweat against this lot. And that in itself shows we have moved on from the days we would make a meal of beating the poorer sides.
Corky Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 362-4 at the close, Trott on plenty. Should be looking for 500 minimum.
Fosse Boy Posted 28 May 2010 Author Posted 28 May 2010 Decent sesh. Batted Trott. Just reading on the TMS page what people would be willing to go through for us to retain The Ashes. From Phil, London, TMS inbox: "I would be willing to show my wife a power point presentation outlining the faults of her mother and how she is, in fact, becoming the exact same woman." From Ed in London, TMS inbox: "My housemate has recently rekindled his love affair with an ex - known to the rest of us as "3 out of 10". I'd be willing to put up with her watching the Eastender omnibus on my sofa every weekend for the rest of the year if it retains the Ashes." From Mick in Garstang, TMS inbox: "During Euro 96 I was sitting the finals of my accountancy exams. The last exam was on the Thursday morning which followed the semi final between England and Germany the night before. As I entered the exam with my whole world shattered I didn't think things could get much worse. That was until I attempted to answer the first question using the TV remote control that I had packed with my things the night before. I was in the middle of over a hundred silent accountants trying to explain to the invigilator what had happened and pleading with him to let me borrow his calculator. If England were to win the ashes I would willingly go through this utter humiliation again - naked."
Edmund Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 Just reading on the TMS page what people would be willing to go through for us to retain The Ashes. Trott has been outstanding at the crease.
purpleronnie Posted 28 May 2010 Posted 28 May 2010 I wish I could watch this, I miss the cricket. Bangladesh are terrible though. Take away Trotts innings and it looks pretty poor. As its set to rain all day tomorrow important we now have a chance to bowl.
Fosse Boy Posted 28 May 2010 Author Posted 28 May 2010 Dear Tim Bresnan, Please stop acting like you bowl heat. You don't. Bowl line and length. Regards etc.
Corky Posted 29 May 2010 Posted 29 May 2010 Well on top now, good day for England. Bangladesh 237-7 at the close.
Fox You Forest Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 I've had enough for today, It's giving me a headache trying to work out what Bresnan brings to the team. Great knock from Tamim.
Corky Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 Mighty relieved we got the first wicket. Hope it's the start of a collapse
Peter File Posted 31 May 2010 Posted 31 May 2010 Morgan must be the first player to get a test chance, on the back of T20 performances. Had an awful first class season for Middlesex last year and hasn't even played a game this year. Bizarre selection and we should have played 5 bowlers.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 31 May 2010 Posted 31 May 2010 Mighty relieved we got the first wicket. Hope it's the start of a collapse England's colapse in the second innings hopefully?
Fox You Forest Posted 31 May 2010 Posted 31 May 2010 Can't believe Bowden, I'd have gone off for tea.
Brainy Posted 31 May 2010 Posted 31 May 2010 Whats he done? Also did Michael Vaughan moan as much as he does now when he was captain? He's a total arse.
Corky Posted 31 May 2010 Posted 31 May 2010 Good work on knocking those off quickly. The opening bowling was pretty helpful though
