Scow Posted 18 May 2005 Posted 18 May 2005 How would you rate your job? Taking in to account what you get paid and your satisfaction with the job its self. I would probably rate mine 4/10 - Not bad pay for someone my age, but a little depressing and boring...
TrickyTrev Posted 18 May 2005 Posted 18 May 2005 Couldn't be worse. I sit in a call centre being abused by people on the other end of the line. Shitty pay too.
Katy Posted 18 May 2005 Posted 18 May 2005 Ive rated mine as above average as its my own business but theres always room for improvement.
Anish Posted 18 May 2005 Posted 18 May 2005 7 out of 10. I have learned loads about banking and the cheque clearing cycle in particular, we usually finish work early nowadays (and I get paid for my full hours), and it's not too stressful or demanding either. The pay isn't great (although not bad considering I didn't need any previous experience or qualifications to work there) and I know that I'm only there til August/September so I know I'm not going to be stuck there for long.

Anish Posted 18 May 2005 Posted 18 May 2005 5 for me.Great pay but doesn't work the mind enough. 110977[/snapback] Sounds ideal
Matt Posted 18 May 2005 Posted 18 May 2005 7/10 Carpenter/Joiner Apprentice, Not bad pay I am one of the highest paid on my apprenticeship college course (9k+ a year is what i'm on, not brilliant but not bad!), I am learning whilst actually earning and doing something towards my career, the future is very very bright for me, and after a few years experience I could be earning upto £100+ a day! I have currently just changed jobs (well about 4/5 months ago) I was working on site, but I was basically a Brickies labourer, I was on shit wages, and couldn't see much future, I have now got my current job and am much happier, I am still not doing to much carpentry/joinery but its still something to do with ym course and my current job can get me through my course!
fosseboy83 Posted 18 May 2005 Posted 18 May 2005 0/10 call centre chimp but i get to go on sites like this instead of working so long as they dont find out...i hate GE capital

I make personalised (mostly) cards and gifts and sell them on my website (www.curlygirlcrafts.com ) and at craft fairs - it's been going for just over a year now and is building up slowly but surely.

For those of you who read the Sun, , you may notice the cricket correspondent is one John Etheridge. I went to school with him and at fifteen he wanted to do the job he is doing, maybe with a slightly more quality paper , and although he is not academically gifted, he found a way. Top marks to John and anybody else who has the vision and determination to achieve their dream whatever that may be. In your case maybe a travel journalist, who knows. Just try and mean it.

Chimp Posted 18 May 2005 Posted 18 May 2005 I voted 8/10. I'm a web developer and code monkey and I enjoy it. The only downside is being manically busy and the fact I should be on 4K more p/a.

When I need my website re-doing, I know where to go. :w00t: :w00t:
