Fox You Forest Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Sounds interesting, someone get a camera in the camp, be a damn site better than Big Brother.
FoxyPV Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Car crash when he was two years old, you should be ashamed(I'm not disputing that he is an utter paedo cvnt though). Gourcuff seems to be very harshly treated, and I don't think Anelka is as mardy as people say he is. FFS wise up it's a bit of banter. He must be or else he wouldn't have been through as many clubs as he has (usually leaving acrimoniously).
Koke Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Fenerbahce fans seem to only have good things to say about him. Same with Bolton and [some] Chelsea fans. Also, his talent and quality is unquestionable. Most clubs he's been at his goal scoring record has been very good. I don't think he's not as mardy as people make him out to be.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Chelsea paid £15 million for Anelka in January 2008. In the summer of 2007, Tottenham paid £16.5 million for Darren Bent and Liverpool paid £11.5 million for Ryan Babel. In the summer of 2008, Liverpool paid £19 million for Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov went to Manchester United for £30 million. I don't think they did too bad. Yeah, funny how your only using bad examples.
Tilley Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Yeah, funny how your only using bad examples. Are you stupid?! Obviously I am going to use bad examples to prove the point that in comparison, Chelsea got a good deal with Anelka?

What are you stupid ? Im saying that there are better strikers IMO than Anelka for 15 million. Ok your fighting your corner with those examples, but do you not know any better strikers for 15 million ?

I subscribe to the 'lower than a worm's belly' school of comedy. I'm a sick bastard basically.

Ok your fighting your corner with those examples, but do you not know any better strikers for 15 million ? They paid £21 million for SWP, £30 million more for Schevchenko, £17 million for Crespo and £15 million for Adrian Mutu. How is £15 million a bad deal for Anelka?!
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Name some Forlan 21 Mill, europes top scorer x2, Higuain 13 mill ten times the player Anelka is, Van Perise under 3 mill, although that was ages ago, Jermaine Defoe. All better players IMO

All better players IMO Forlan? This is the Premier League. Remember what he did at Manchester United? No... me neither because he did fuck all. Higuain, you have a point but as far as I am aware he was pretty unknown so they got him for a snip from River Plate. Van Persie was in 2004, so pretty irrelevant point. Jermaine Defoe was the same price and they have similar scoring records. You are still yet to name me a better player than Anelka for £15 million, you said it was expensive, I think you're talking out your arse. Higuain is the only valid player. However, I'd like to see him replicate his goalscoring form when he is being kicked by the likes of Bolton and Stoke in the Premier League.

I just don't think he's worth 15 million. Your using premiership examples, but Chelsea could have bought from any team in the world, and for 15 million they could've got a better player.

Your using premiership examples, but Chelsea could have bought from any team in the world, and for 15 million they could've got a better player. Anelka is proven in the Premier League. 23 goals for Arsenal, 37 goals for Manchester City, 21 for Bolton and 31 for Chelsea. Why would you splash out £15 million on a player that isn't proven and could turn out to be a flop? Crespo, Mutu etc. Why won't you accept £15 million for Anelka is a decent price? Christ.

He was their top scorer last season, 2008/2009. You are severely underrating Anelka's quality.

Mikey Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Pretty sure Anelka was the Premiership top scorer as well in 08/09? Might be wrong though. EDIT: Ah been said already.

purpleronnie Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Raymond Domenech has lost the plot anyway. They'll still qualify easily, they always seem to.
Guest Bilo Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 They'll still qualify easily, they always seem to. Not so sure. South Africa will want to end their tournament on a high, France have spectacularly self-destructed and won't be up for it and a draw between Mexico and Uruguay will end any hope of a French presence in the last 16 anyway. They've one foot on Thursday's flight from Johannesburg International to Paris CDG.
