Domenech “firmly but politely” told ‘Nico’ that he was to stop dropping deep from his centre forward role, or else he would be replaced. “Go fuck yourself, you dirty son of a bitch,” the Chelsea ace is reported to have replied. “Ok, off you go,” Domenech said to the striker, who was by then already making his way to the shower. The newspaper added that a disciplinary meeting will take place on Saturday afternoon to decide Anelka's fate, while RMC has reported on Saturday morning that the forward could now be sent back home prematurely. But the former Real Madrid striker was not the only France player to respond unprofessionally on Thursday. David Astorga, a journalist with TF1, tried to interview William Gallas on the field after the Mexico defeat, but the out-of-contract Arsenal centre-back gave him what the French call ‘the finger of honour’.

Koke Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 From another forum From all reports, this has everything to do with Gourcuff.Apparently, Gourcuff is bullied by the rest of the team (instigator being Ribery). The play maker is a more of a quiet type of guy who prefers to be by himself, listen to music, watch films and opera and the others are mostly WAGS type of players who go clubbing and party, and Gourcuff never ever joins them and he is bullied on. The likes of Ribery never pass to him on the field and never let him take free kicks. So then Gourcuff was left out because of all the players not wanting him there in the starting lineup, and Anelka stood up for Gourcuff. That's where the bust up occurred. Fwiw, noticed it was weird how the French substitutes were warming up in the Mexico game, it's now come out that Henry got all the subs to warm up away from the bench so Domenech couldn't make any substitutions. The divide within the team is enormous.

Evra said - "Anelka is not the problem, but it is the traitor who told the media what happen, they should be sent home" - implying that it's one Gourcuff or one of his friends.This is clear because before the World Cup, Evra was asked to write a small anecdote about each player from the squad and for Gourcuff he wrote - "I don't really know. he is very shy. To speak to Gourcuff you must first speak to Toulalan". Gourcuff is seen as the "new Zidane" by the French media (hardly his fault) and the rest of the players are annoyed by this, they see him as the media darling and never at fault when France struggle, and have tried everything to exclude him from the team. It's also apparent that the only reason Domenech was not fired after Euro 2008 is because he has a very big role in the French youth academies, he is at the heart of the youth system in France. The FFF could not risk angering him. L'Equipe had 4 pages on it!! All in all, what a total embarrassment. There have also been rumours of discontent between several members of the squad with skipper Patrice Evra accusing a 'traitor' of leaking out news of Anelka's outburst to the French media. The French are facing elimination at the first hurdle even if they beat South Africa in their final game as a draw between Uruguay and Mexico will send the 2006 runners-up packing. The team arrived at training on Sunday, but the session was halted after a row between captain Patrice Evra and fitness coach Robert Duverne. Domenech had to move in to separate the pair and soon after the incident the players then left the pitch and boarded the team bus. The squad in a letter read out to the media by Domenech have now revealed they refused to train because of Anelka's expulsion from the team. "All players without exception want to declare their opposition to FFF decision to exclude Nicolas Anelka." Domenech said in a statement on behalf of the players. "The French Football Federation did not at any time try to protect the group. They took a decision uniquely based on facts reported by the press. "As a consequence and to show our opposition to the decision taken by officials of the federation, all the players decided not to take part in today's training session." Resignation France team director Jean-Louis Valentin revealed he has resigned from the French football federation, shouting he was "ashamed" of the team. "It's a scandal for the French, for the young people here. It's a scandal for the federation and the French team," Valentin said. "They don't want to train. It's unacceptable. "It is for the players to tell you why (they refuse to train). "As for me, it's over. I'm leaving the federation. I'm sickened and disgusted."

In England he'd have been given the heave ho before or immediately after the Euros but the French don't want to pay two managers. Some of the senior players have been using this to pressurise situations and Henry is one of the kingpins. I hope the players get outed after these finals and the truth is known. Gourcouff is a great player and should be the playmaker for the team but some just refuse to play with him even when on the pitch. Ribery is super skilled but an ass.

It's not that bad supporting England, at least we don't have arseholes as bad as these that think there quality.

Wait..... Car crash when he was two years old, you should be ashamed(I'm not disputing that he is an utter paedo cvnt though). Gourcuff seems to be very harshly treated, and I don't think Anelka is as mardy as people say he is.

In the summer of 2007, Tottenham paid £16.5 million for Darren Bent and Liverpool paid £11.5 million for Ryan Babel. In the summer of 2008, Liverpool paid £19 million for Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov went to Manchester United for £30 million. I don't think they did too bad.
