grth2004 Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 Ive managed to get afternoon off work on wednesday to watch the match with a couple of mates and im heading into leicester . was wondering which is the best pub with the best screen and best beer in the city . ??????
Sparky Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 Walkabout has good screen but shit beer, O Neills has good beer but you got to get in early for decent spot. I dont bother with town for England games our local The Foresters arms does me fine, decent beer and 3 good screens
Wycombe Fox Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 Find a pub without a TV. I think that'll be the best one on Wednesday

Folks went O'Neills for the US game and found a spot easy but I suspect on Wednesday, most of town's bars are going to packed out with staff.

Was busy for 1st game but plenty staff on and didnt have to wait for a beer, i was away in Newquay for the Algeria game
samjohnson Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 Buy a crate from a store and then use the screen on Humberstone gate
grth2004 Posted 21 June 2010 Author Posted 21 June 2010 oneils and wallkabout were the only two i was thinking of , it seems leicester is short of big bars with big screens. ill probably end up in oneils . thanks Buy a crate from a store and then use the screen on Humberstone gate can you drink in the street ?
Tilley Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 Soar Point for me Wednesday, was a toss up between there or Walkabout and Soar Point will have their big screen on.
Samilktray Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 The Plough in East Goscote had a cracking atmosphere for the USA game.
Tommy G Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 Soar Point for me Wednesday, was a toss up between there or Walkabout and Soar Point will have their big screen on. Been there for the past two games. They seem to adopt a 1 in 1 out policy from about 45 mins before Kick Off but I doubt it will be as busy on wednesday. Get there in decent time if you can. Great Atmosphere and drinks are cheap obviously
fox123 Posted 22 June 2010 Posted 22 June 2010 Apparently Jobber is going to be at Liquid with his big drum. Think I'd rather that in my ear than those Vuvuzela's. As for me, I already have BBQ planned at home with a few mates and beers in.
