MikeyT Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 From SSN website. Micky Adams has played down a possible return to manage Leicester, insisting that he is happy in his current role at Port Vale. Adams managed the Foxes to promotion to the Premier League in 2003, although they were relegated straight back down the following season after an 18th placed finish, but he is held in high regard at the Walkers Stadium for being the last manager to achieve that feat. Leicester had a successful season after promotion from League One, finishing in the play-off positions in the Championship despite an exit to Cardiff at the semi-final stage; however they have lost manager Nigel Pearson after his move to Hull City. Another former Foxes hero Simon Grayson was linked with a move to Leicester from Leeds, but he has dismissed the rumours, and Vale chairman Bill Bratt had previously stated that he felt Adams would stay with the club. The 48-year-old also pledged to stay at Vale Park, stating that he was only focused on their League Two campaign in the coming season. "I don't comment on speculation. I am Port Vale manager and my focus is on preparing the team for the 2010/11 season," he told The Sentinel.
Far Post Gerry Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 From SSN website. "I don't comment on speculation. I am Port Vale manager," “I’m happy at Fulham. It is all speculation." Roy Hodgson, 18 June You can't pay too much attention to what a manager say in these situations. I reckon Adams would bite Milan's hand off of he was offered the job. Hopefully we'll never get the chance to find out.
Stig the Lawnmower Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 definately not Southgate, Dowie or Coleman - all average. I'd go for Robbins with powell as no 2. as was stated previously in this thread Robbins has worked his way up, bit like o'neil but perhaps not as rapidly. however, as much as we speculate and hope, its out of our hands and probably a done deal anyway but not Dowie!!!!!!!!
Daggers Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 I would just like to play down speculation that I am one of the leading candidates for this post.
Wycombe Fox Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 If cash is a bit tight, maybe MM will appoint himself as the new manager.
Manwivaplan Posted 3 July 2010 Posted 3 July 2010 definately not Southgate, Dowie or Coleman - all average.
