Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Sousa, though I wouldnt be too pissed off with O'Driscoll, Robins, Magilton or Mowbray.
irDeano Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 o'Driscoll, really hoping it's not sousa or dowie though...
Legend_in_blue Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 The list should have been put in alphabetical order. Most people are now going to vote Sousa and then give one or two other alternatives.
davieG Posted 29 June 2010 Author Posted 29 June 2010 The list should have been put in alphabetical order. Most people are now going to vote Sousa and then give one or two other alternatives. It was pretty much in the order of who was favourite for the job, next time I'll nominate you to do it Besides I'm not sure what you say is true there's a fair smattering of votes spread across the lower listed names and by my reckoning Sousa seems to have been the most touted name in the other topics.
Lisburn Fox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I don't have a clue who should take over as there does not seem to be much quality around. I am just finishing 25 Yrs in the Army and have the UEFA A qualification, need to have a look at a new challenge starting pretty soon, so MM give me a bell, I have my own back room staff (Wife n Kids) who know all there is to know about football thanks to my armchair management of Leicester and England over the last 18 years. Thats my own trumpet by the way.
josh_baskin Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Im worried i have a vision of Gary Megson having conract talks as I type this!
hairy Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 It was pretty much in the order of who was favourite for the job, next time I'll nominate you to do it maddog would have done it properly. Taken the time to get it right instead of just rushing in there based on odds.
Simo86 Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Tony Mowbray, already lives in the midlands and has a decent record in the championship

Judging from the spread of the votes I think it shows people are intelligent enough to see past the list order and register their true vote. I was being careful not to patronise them by simplifying the system, but I'm in danger of now doing so.
Ozwin Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Im worried i have a vision of Gary Megson having conract talks as I type this! I doubt even Mandaric would go back to someone a 2nd time.
davieG Posted 29 June 2010 Author Posted 29 June 2010 paul ince Keith Hill, Rochdale. Sorry they weren't listed but I could only list 20 perhaps I should have left a few like Dowie
ousefox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I doubt even Mandaric would go back to someone a 2nd time. Harry Redknapp? and i my first choice would probably be Sousa, although i wouldn't mind Mowbray, Adams, Robins or Southgate.
Shrenchel Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Anyone but fvcking Southgate. I still haven't forgiven him for Euro 1996. If he gets the job I'm going to rip up my season ticket and then take it back and get a refund.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Mowbray for me. Was going to put Brown, but Mowbray built an excellent WBA team, and Brown tends to bring average foreigners in.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Adkins - it seems obvious that we need someone who can manage on a shoestring.
nuttytimmy Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Anyone but Dowie. Please not him. I'd like to see Mowbray or Sousa take charge but we are going to get buggered by Fulham needing a new manager once Hodgson signs with Liverpool, which means we are likely to get stuck with the likes of Dowie, Ince, etc. who just aren't good enough.

I think Curbishley's a sure shot for the Fulham job if Hodgson goes.
Narborough_fox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Wouldn't mind Zola. Would bring good knowledge of the game and flair, only problem is his wages. But wouldn't mind a lot out of that list.
thybluefox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I went for Mowbray, but would be happy with Sousa or Curby. Anyone but Dowie/Megson and I won't return my ST.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 My shortlist would be: Mowbray O'Driscoll Zola/and or Clarke
