Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Did people just not notice football last season? Zola?! FUCK OFF.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 From left field a little, but Paul Trollope (Bristol Rovers) or Lee Clark (Huddersfield) look like up and coming young managers that are not complete loons (actually not 100% sure about Clark). Both like their teams to play attractive football and build youthful sides, but I guess there lack of Championship experience may count against them.
Finchy Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Did people just not notice football last season? Zola?! FUCK OFF. THIS!
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Lets face it, none of them are particularly good, I dont care about them being 'upcoming' etc. All pretty crap so the only one I think is Ok is Sousa. Big NO to DOWIE.
demon_dog Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 What no Warnock? I'd even prefer to have him rather than Dowie. Hope MM is listening to the fans . NO DOWIE.

Big NO to DOWIE. Who do you expect? Honestly? There are actually some very, very good Football League managers listed, even though my choice isn't in the poll, I still think the likes of Mowbray, O'Driscoll, Adkins, Curbishley, at a stretch maybe even Southgate, could all make a decent fist of being appointed here. Oh, and how is being an 'up and coming' manager a bad thing / not make them 'particularly good'?

Oh, and how is being an 'up and coming' manager a bad thing / not make them 'particularly good'? How you can judge anyone to be good before they actually work their magic is beond me. Surely it's more a case of liking an appointment, because Managers can be good at one club and crap at another (look at people like Mowbray).

Maybe, but he's pretty much branded the whole lot as useless.
StanSP Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Out of that list, Mowbray. If we weren't in the position to save money and could afford the compensation, then I wouldn't mind O'Driscoll, but I can't see that one happening.
buzzy Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 these are the odds on sky betNext Permanent Leicester Manager Sousa, P 3/1 Mowbray, T 7/2 Dowie, I 10/1 Southgate, G 10/1 Adams, M 10/1 Brown, P 12/1 O'Driscoll, S 12/1 Coleman, C 12/1 Jewell, P 16/1 Megson, G 16/1 Curbishley, A 16/1 Worthington, N 16/1 Rodgers, B 20/1 Clarke, S 20/1 Adkins, N 20/1 Magilton, J 22/1 McAllister, G 25/1 Newell, M 28/1 O'Leary, D 28/1 Keown, M 28/1 Grayson, S 33/1 Parker, G 33/1 Dublin, D 33/1 Howard, S 40/1 Lineker, G 50/1 some of the names enough to make you laugh
richardsfoxes Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I want it to be Mowbray or Sousa, i think both will be extremely interested. Have one of the best squads in the championship, big gates, oh and no money. Were perfect
nuneatonfox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I'm still backing Alan Pardew for the job yes took charlton down but took West Ham up & got them to a Fa Cup FInal.
nuneatonfox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 David O'Leary perhaps did well at Leeds, did average at Villa so maybe him for job.
Burleyfox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Not Mowbray please - he always comes accross like a rabbit caught in headlights. Not a progressive appointment. Personally, I'd like to see an ambitious younger manager from the lower leagues given a try (remember MON).
hackneyfox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I'm assuming that fans of other teams have voted. That can be the only explanation for Micky says Adams and Gary Mac getting votes can't it?
LukeyZade Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 if we get dowie i will literally sh=t in the ,middle of the pitch and throw it in mandarics face, hes obviously upset ppl at the lcfc backroom
dandannieldanok Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I'm assuming that fans of other teams have voted. That can be the only explanation for Micky says Adams and Gary Mac getting votes can't it? I voted Adams so that's at least one genuine vote for him. To be honest I'm not going to be too disappointed whoever it is (yes that does include the likes of Dowie, Gregory et al.), just as long as they're pumped up and motivated for the challenge. Just as long as it isn't someone looking for a last payday or someone purposely using us as a stepping stone.

Sicklad Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 How about Eddie Howe from Bournmouth, he's a young manager he got Bournmouth promoted while in a transfer embargo and had the smallest squad in the football league. Got to be worth a shout!

Houdini Logic Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 But he's under contract to another club isn't he? Mate, people aren't bothered that another club have taken our manager - people are bothered at the fact that it's Hull. Almost comical. Which part of that are you having trouble with?
Milans Foxes Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Would be a massive gamble and I haven't seen his name mentioned anywhere else but..................Paul Tisdale. Has literally performed miracles at Exeter, is a young up-and-coming manager and he's got some style as well !! Compensation wouldn't need to be much either. A few negatives though, he hasn't got any experience in the Championship and doubt he would have the contacts to obtain great players but he has made some useful signings at Exeter for that level. What do people think??
