unreachable Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 I've got newsnow.co.uk as my home page: http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Championship/Leicester+City What do other fans use? The current state of affairs is poor with some press conferences aired first on "The Bangkok Post" website - probably badly translated and misinterpreted into English. I accept that there is a 9/10 hour time difference but confusion is being caused by poor distribution of media reports etc...
dave_the_fox Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 I also have newsnow as my homepage. Its the way forward
danielpholt Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 I normally keep up to date via the wonders of RSS. Got my RSS reader open on my desktop, so whenever a new article is posted on a various site i know about it within 10-15 minutes. That being said, i might scrap the current single feeds and just get my stuff synced to that site above. I'm a big fan of Foxblogger and Filbert Way on the LCFC blog front too, check them out.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was really aiming at news aggregation websites.
Stadt Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 SSN-Its quite up to date but the website seems to have more information.
The Doctor Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 i'm keeping faith with the OS. Eventually they will get news to us before other sources.
Jon25747 Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 I only use the OS. I can exclusively reveal we may be signing alan maybury

Corky Posted 21 August 2010 Posted 21 August 2010 The OS- but only just. They are pretty slow on the uptake but at least it's usually concrete rather than rumour.

My fault for not framing the thread question properly. I was after news aggregation websites not just references to one website. Newsnow takes stories from OS and Leicester Mercury and many newspapers and other sources.

And even if it's not, there's no other place that would gather stories from as many sources as they do. They pretty much cover everywhere...

Raised the thread in case I was missing out on anything better.

danielpholt Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 Who's gonna pay for an RSS feed of a news aggregator? Just work out which sites its getting its own feeds from and RSS from there.
Jon25747 Posted 22 August 2010 Posted 22 August 2010 he's just joined st Johnstone. It was a joke on how slow the OS is at posting information. I'm not so dumb that I would actually think that
