C-man Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Loved Lloyd today. The rest were below average to a disgrace.
Collier Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I thought Berner was awful today, fuck knows what's happened to him.
thurnbyfox Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 From where I was sitting the first half I didn't see him win a single contested header. Spot on there, Long was constantly beating Hobbs in the air, still was our best defender although thats not saying much! Lamey and Morenos distribution was simply awful, even a simple 10 yard pass seemed to be beyond them at times and I just don't know whats happened to Berner compared to last season.
MC Prussian Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Logan - 7 Made a couple of really good saves, can't blame him for both goals against Lamey - 6 Made less errors than in the game(s) he's started in before, still prone to neglecting the defensive side of being a right-back Moreno - 0 Please get rid or finally play him as a centre midfielder. Completely useless and clueless as a centre-back. At fault for BOTH goals against. Hobbs - 5 A shadow of his former self. Started off woeful in the first, then got his act together in the second. Berner - 7 Solid, reliable as ever. N'Guessan - 5 Tried to work his magic and occasionally managed to enter the Reading box on the left, but ultimately failed. Not his day. Oakley - 4 Anonymous, never really present, a couple of misguided passes, no impact on the game whatsoever. And that's our captain. Allegedly. Wellens - 6 Bossed midfield, but to little effect. Poor attempts on the Reading goal. Shooting is not his main strength. Too often left too frustrated by his teammates. Dyer - 8 Ran his socks off, most threatening player on the pitch today. Great, powerful goal. He clearly wanted a win, sadly his teammates thought differently. Gallagher - 4 Just couldn't be arsed to play football, poor distribution on the right flank. Had only one good scene, the backheel pass to Dyer in the first. Deservedly taken off early in the second half. Howard - 5 Left alone too often, too little assistance from midfield. Looked very lacklustre and selfish in the first, then opened up in the second, seeing a great shot saved by Mills and another one going over the bar. Subs: Fryatt - 6 He tried his best for the time he was on, but it wasn't meant to be. Was somewhere else with his mind, maybe Wigan. Moussa - N/A Did not really see a lot from him. King - 7 Unlucky that his goal was not given, was trying to make things happen. Attacking threat.
maccfox Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Logan 7.5 - Couldn't have done much with either of the goals. Was solid and commanding, fantastic kicking and was something different. If by fantastic kicking u mean hoofing it as far as possible then ok
Ajax Treesdown Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 I thought Berner was awful today, fuck knows what's happened to him. Very true, its okay blaming Lamey for being crap, Bruno was as bad!!
ThorpeAstleyFox Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Logan 7 Berner 6 Hobbs 6 Moreno 5 Lamey 6 Dyer 8 Oakley 5 Wellens 6 N'Guessan 5 Howard 6 Gallagher 5 Fryatt 6 King 5 Moussa 6
goose2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Logan -7 (great save and like how he mixed his kicks rahter that just aiming for howard everytime.) Lamey - 6 (not too bad) hobbs - 5 (got beat by shane long in the air everytime not the hobbs of last season) moreno 4 (isnt a CB move him to CM or the bench) berner - 5 (n'guessans fault he got this mark i will explain shortly) n'gussean 2 (LAZY LAZY LAZY you cant be lazy in this formation didnt spint to get forward didnt sprint to get back, left berner with 2 men far to many times, so clumbsy on the ball, doesnt get his head up quick enough.....the most frustrating player i've seen in years!) get rid in my opinion! wellens - 7 ran his heart out today final ball disapointing at times. oakley - 6 not fit enough to play this formation dyer - 9 MOTM by a mile we need another lloyd on the other wing gally- 6 dont think he is a centre forward personally doesnt fit in this formation howard - 6 looked tired should of scored with one, unlucky with another subs 6 - all looked lively and impressed sousa 5 - got a few things wrong today, but give the man some time bit of luck in the last 2 home games and we could of have 6 points rather than 1
Lillehamring Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 from sky Logan - 6 - made a few decent stops when needed, couldn't do much anything about the 1st Lamey - 4 - didn't offer much going forward and looked a bit lost at the back Berner - 5 - had very little to do, so perhaps should have got forward more Hobbs - 7 - solid, 2 massive and tricky last chance tackles in the 2nd half summed him up Moreno - 5 - light and shade, some brilliant control (a lovely take on the chest in the 6 yard box for example) and nice passing, should really have been playing the oakley role as some of his defending was gash N'Guessan - 5 came to life in the 2nd, played some good fotball but seemed to forget it was howard and fryatt and not DJ up front so nothing really happened for him Oakley - 3 - absent, no leadership, passing to the fans, subbed. Wellens - 7 - great work rate and tried to do stuff, should have shot a few times when he had the chance, needs to make the right decision more often Dyer - 8 - star man - 1st half we were a one man team, and he made everyone else look poor. strong 2nd, and a great deserved goal Gallagher - 5 - was this his first start up front. ever. wasted his chance really, but you get the feeling he'd have been better alongside dj or fryatt Howard - 4 - two decent contributions and very little else, we need someone way more influential - two games in a row he had perfect chances and didn't find the right spot Subs - Moussa - 6 - looks good, has to be in consideration as his technique suits our footy King - 7 - always around the box, always involved, ludicrously disallowed goal, has to start the next game Fryatt - 4 - looked keen but not sharp, once again didn't make the right decisions. sousa - wrong starting line up, but changes worked great and i still can't conceive how we didn't win fans - no idea as we had to listen to the st.pauli game, but they were amazing and made the walkers sound insane. ref - unsighted for the clear peno for dyer, bizarre ruling on the disallowed goal, but i though he was ok, and let the game flow. reading - must consider themselves lucky, but that said, i thought their defending was outstanding.
Thracian Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 I thought Berner was awful today, fuck knows what's happened to him. Nothing's happened to him - at least since since the season started - he's been consistently bad!
