a_kick_in_the_blogocks Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 So I had my trip to Pukka Pies on Friday afternoon and tasted the concept pie, and you know what it was blooming nice. Maybe a sign of things to come, started slowly but by the end it was quite fiery. Still a bit to go on this journey I think (results aside) but was a very positive day. Write up will be in the Merc sometime this week and there will be some coverage on radio Leicester tomorrow morning. Cheers Ryan ps- a few pics of the day PIES
Matt Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 By the time it's done Paulo might be gone, spose you could just drop the Paulo bit though.

Karljohn Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 Could rebrand it the Paolo Piri P45 pie if it all goes tits up?
Jay Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 so what can we expect from the Pie is it just chicken and piri piri sauce in a pie or any other ingredients floating about inside the pastry? any idea if the club are actually going to sell them?
a_kick_in_the_blogocks Posted 19 September 2010 Author Posted 19 September 2010 its chicken, red , green peppers, red green chillis, really nice to be honest. Very spicey. The decision is still with Pukka and all is still very positive.
1964FOX Posted 19 September 2010 Posted 19 September 2010 Get them to print the Fosse Boys logo on the bottom of the tin foil to improve sales, we'll all buy them.

a_kick_in_the_blogocks Posted 1 October 2010 Author Posted 1 October 2010 As a football fan of 28 years I have seen the game change in many ways. One change that really gets my goat is the lack of affinity between the club and the fans. Where as a child I could stand at the players’ entrance of Leicester City after a game and collect autographs and engage with the players week in week out, this is sadly something that I fear that my little boy won’t be able to do when he is older. The idea of the Pie was to get the club and the local sponsor (pukka pies) to embrace the managers’ arrival by producing a Pie and thus engaging with the fans. To be fair to Pukka Pies they were brilliant throughout this and saw true value in working with the fans on this idea. The problem is that the Pie lasted longer than the manager. Hey ho Rest in PIes

Hey ho Rest in PIes It is a genuine shame that this project, which seemed to be looking good to go, has had to be stopped after all that hard work. Unlucky
