A phone call from Leicester City Football Club

"Andy" (calling from Maidstone according to the area code of the phone number) just wanted to thank me for my support (haven't been to a game all season) and ask me if I had any feedback on how to improve my experience as a fan.

I told him I was in India and that this call was costing me money and could he call back in December.

Anyone else had one of these? Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Am I special?

I missed a call the other day from a Leicester area code and a girl, 'Lisa', left a message saying she'd like to talk to me "about my experiences being a Leicester fan" and left me a number to call back on. I'd forgot about it til now but at the time just presumed she wanted to try and sell me the player or something. :dunno:

I'd love to get one of those calls.

"Right love you got a pen and paper, then I will begin..................................."

For the last four years I spent over £5k a year on corporate season tickets, and was a season ticket holder for 20 years prior to that in non-corporate ..... I didn't renew this year and didn't even receive one phone call from the club to ask why.

I'm not saying this to be a big shot .... so don't flame me .... I'm saying it because that's how ridiculous it is - how badly targeted their phone calls are for one .... I would easily be persuaded to renew if they called, gave me a deal or even took enough interest to ask for feedback why I hadn't renewed.

How many people going to 5 games a season for £20 does it take to get the same revenue as one person buying 4 great hall season tickets??? That was going to be a rhetorical question - but in case of doubt it's 50!!!

Seems like hard work for the telesales person when there's easier pickings!!!!!

But then i did also get refused entry to a box last week for wearing converse .... it seems the club do everything they can to alienate anyone wanting to buy good tickets but not wear a suit!

Show off.

As it happens, I'd love somebody at the club to phone me. Not since the days of Peter Jones have the club wanted to acknowledge my existence, the bastards.

Steve Walsh got initially refused entry to about 5 boxes from my Father's/Uncle's for wearing jeans on Tuesday. But got let off. He shouldn't do as he is not very important to the club is he?

Ring me LCFC.

I dare you. There could be a ranty response.

It's ridiculous .... what sort of jobs-worth refuses one of the biggest legends of Leicester City entry .... or Steve Walsh!!!

It is crazy though - they really should start getting in touch with their customers .... and realise that not everyone buying a box wants to wear a suit .... and that converse aren't trainers .... and that jeans aren't necessarily workwear!!!

Quite funny that they turn down Walshy but then phone me for feedback when I only became a member so I could get play off tickets, go to about 10-15 games a season (mainly away) and have been out of the country for 3 months so have seen fvck all of this season. Weirdos.
