Webbo Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 The People Steve Cotterill is wanted as new Hull City boss if American group completes buy-out of clubOct 31 2010 By Alan Nixon, The People The Tigers have been in talks with a mystery American group, as first revealed by People Sport, with an offer expected within days. And the fixers behind the swoop also have their sights on a new manager, with Nigel Pearson just months into the post after coming from Leicester City. Cotterill, who has done a big job at Pompey despite their cash crisis, is the name on the lips of the middle-men involved in the American deal – with the group having hired an English agency to conduct the business. The ambitious boss could be tempted if Hull come up with a convincing case that they can bounce back to the Premier League with secure finances.
Fosse Boy Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 I'm sure Steve Cotterill will shift a few more 'Ull repicas in Delaware than NP would.
Corky Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 I'm surprised to see Hull struggling, thought they'd be near the top six. But Cotterill has only just joined Portsmouth, and seems to be getting them into contenders for the play-offs, so I can't see why he'd move there.
Samilktray Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 Pearson will be managing Mansfield Town soon enough. Harharhar.
davieG Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Takeover nearly complete - http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6498465,00.html
Edmund Posted 10 November 2010 Posted 10 November 2010 Takeover nearly complete - http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6498465,00.html It's a different group to the one mentioned by Webbo so NP's job should still be safe.
