The majority of the UK is unhappy about immigration levels. So homosexuality being a disorder is debatable. It was classed as a disorder until the late 70s. My view is that something that prevents an organism from performing the vital function of reproducing is a disorder. Does this make me retarded? The way you have made that statement is patronising in the extreme. Don't worry about you mental deficiencies I'll tolerate your presence. Why don't you just pat all gay people on the head and smile at them? There is nothing preventing gay people procreating if they so choose and plenty do have kids, they just prefer to have sex with people of the same sex. What about men with low or no sperm count? Women who can't pregnant due to their egg quality? Do you lump them in with your so called defective gay people? It's such a reductive way of seeing people that it defies belief.

Well on the subject of immigration I just personally disagree with you - see I'm afraid I'm one of those silly idealogical people that doesn't really understand why skin colour, religion and language etc, makes one person SO different from another that an influx of the different type is a frightening problem. To me it doesn't matter if my next-door neighbour is Mr Patel or Mr Smith, and it also wouldn't really bother me if my whole street were Mr Patels. And on the homosexuality thing, as I think FoxyPV has said above, nothing about being gay "prevents" a person from procreating, it's about sexual preference purely in terms of what you enjoy. Gay man can still have sex with woman and make babies, he just won't feel particularly attracted to it or desperate to do it - so no, definitely NOT a disorder.

Most people don't realise that your sexuality is created and shaped as the rest of your personality by the occurances and experiences you have as a person. There is no such thing as innate sexuality in the same way that there is no definitive way for men and women to behave (regardless of what our essentialist society says). Society has a massive influence all of us. Comparing homosexuality to bestiality shows that you are missing the point - animals have no say in those sexual acts and it's cross species. Not even the same sport. Homosexuality is not a fooking disorder. It's your opinion so fook it there's not much I can do to change it. I can only hope that you may change this view in the future. You have to look at the impact of your views on people who are gay but are made to feel by people like you, either directly or indirectly, that there is something wrong with them. How can someone you know come to accept that they are gay and feel comfortable about who they are when you are spouting this shite? On OCD - it is an attempt to gain control or power in a world or situation where that person feels particularly powerless. It is as much a coping mechanism as having a pint etc when you are feeling down. It has been termed as disorder because it has been medicalised and therefore needs labelled.

Well there is no proof for that claim. It's hard to believe that if I was raised by a gay couple I would be gay, because innately I feel that having sex with another man is utterly disgusting... I don't think sexuality is something that your learn. And I take your point about what I'm saying could be hurtful, but surely having all of organised religion saying that you will burn in hell is worse. How exactly do you differentiate between foreigners and British people anyway? I mean for example my surname's Sharma and I'm a white man who was born in Scotland. Sexual roles are learned as we copy them from people around us and transfer our feelings on those we have great affection for - male or female - You can fall in love with one of your best friend but only see it as a friendship until one day some thing happened between the two of you and it becomes sexual. We'll leave it at that because to do it justice we'd need to have a in depth talk about gender politics and the politics of sexuality and here's not the place. It's easier to dismiss religion as a pile of shite especially now but not so easy to dismiss your friends' views on what you might be yourself. Don't fool yourself that gay people can't be xenophobic right wing hate mongers either - they're still people at the end of the day. On your last point see all your previous statements regarding homosexuality and you'll understand why he felt like that.
