DNG to Scunny

It's still difficult to decide how good Danny was. He never had a consistent run in the team and in what little I saw of him he looked more dangerous as a striker than a winger.

In fact he didn't look like a winger at all apart from that brilliant cross at Watford and a decent game against QPR.

Mostly he failed to get his head up and ran into cul-de-sacs.

However, in the box he did seem to pose a threat, particularly in the air. Whether he could turn that threat into something consistent I don't know but he got off the mark well enough today.

Good luck to the guy.

You clearly didn't see his clueless running around as a striker against Preston.

What position did Scunny play him in?

Yeah agree pretty much, though I don't think I agree with you in regards positioning. N'Guessan always confused me a little bit. I think I've always been fortunate enough to see him play reasonably well and I always felt he warranted more of a go than he got.

Still, I trust the judgement of Sven and anyway there's no point him holding on to a player he perhaps doesn't rate. He certainly has been incosnistent by all accounts.

Best of luck to him though, I certainly don't understand the hate he seems to get from some people, we've had MUCH worse. :dunno:
