broughtonblue Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 I love Leicester and have done for over 30 years, unfortunately as I've posted in other topics a couple of times, due to financial issues I'm not able to go to the walkers very often. Here's my dilemma If city get promoted to the prem prices will surely increase, meaning watching even less games. Do I want promotion or still be able to visit the walkers more often? My heart says promotion but my selfish head says more games Help!!!
Webbo Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 If you don't go very often now what difference will it make?
hackneyfox Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 If we were o go up you then have another dilemma. If you can only go to a few games do you pick the ones where we may get something or do you go the games against the top 6?
Mee Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Sell some Thai Brides and get a season ticket mate.

If you don't go very often now what difference will it make? A lot to me
sdb Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 fewer games when in the prem so go to 1 game less if we go up and you'll be spending about the same i'd reckon
Fosse Boy Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 If we got promoted I doubt I could afford to go anymore. Doesn't mean I don't want it to happen though. I want the team to do their best, if the club rip the fans off it's not the team's fault.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Us getting promoted wouldn't be all that. Being a mid-table side forever more, at best, nearer relegation than success with hangers-on in the ground, £40 odd a ticket every other week to watch us get stuffed 3-0 at Bolton and probably even worse treatment from the powers-that-be at the club because they know they can shift your seat on to some other punter anyway. I'd love to see us be successful, and I'd love to have the bragging rights, but it wouldn't be all that.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 They'd never fill the 42k seater at 40 quid a ticket! Would prices really go that high? 30 quid is the absolute maximum any game in the league shoulf be.

They're £35 for Platinum fixtures now I'm not that bothered about midtable in the Prem either it's the FA Cup I'm bothered about winning. The only good thing about being in the Premiership is beating Man U or Chelsea or one of the other big sides (something Mick McCarthy isn't bothered about, not sure what he's even bothered being a manager in the Prem for TBH)
Guest BlueBrett Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Yeh but only if you want to sit in the library. I don't care what they charge for the posh seats. They should just double the price of them if we go up and leave the rest of us alone.

Carn't you work or something, or do more hours if you do work. Its a strange one.

My heart says promotion but my selfish head says more games Help!!! Promotion = more games on telly (seeing them is seeing them in a way), potentially full houses (making you feel less guilty for missing games because you wouldn't have got a ticket) and of course enhances that rollercoaster ride that is supporting Leicester City Football Club Downsides are more work ****** notice the teams results, more defeats / battle against relagation and games being constantly moved, but you still want us to go up really and you know it!

The increase in prices won't mean you can never go to another single game.
Kitchandro Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 Getting promoted is as much about the glory of promotion as it is actually being there. Football's about winning after all and we all go to the games to see our team be successful. So I feel for people who won't be able to go to games if we go up (might be the same for me too) but deep down everyone wants us to go up

But he should be happy with having to go to less games than he currently does because by his own admission the price increase will mean a significant reduction in his attendance, right?

unreachable Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 But he should be happy with having to go to less games than he currently does because by his own admission the price increase will mean a significant reduction in his attendance, right? It will cost me less if we get promoted because I will cut down on away games and watch them on Sky Match Choice. Anyway it's not a terrible moral dilemma - it's just entertainment not life and death.
unreachable Posted 17 November 2010 Posted 17 November 2010 eh? You can tell that from Fosse Boy's post.
