Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Weale rushing out of his box is hardly a new thing, he did it a few times last season but got away from it. I can remember him doing it at home to Sheff Wed and Morrison having to rush back and clear it off the line. Weale for me is a good keeper, but the communication at the back this season is non-existant which has had some effect.

Sure Weale should have done better but he's hardly the only one at fault.
North-LondonFox Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 I agree with all thoes who say Weale should have done better with the third. I've always rated him, but he had a v bad game yesterday - maybe the whole Kirkland saga affected his confidence.
Father Ted Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Don't forget though that Weale made an unbelievable stop at 2-2, rushing out and steamrollering their forward to take the ball off his feet. Nothing he could have done with the first goal. Second goal was an error, but imo he was better off coming out than waiting for the player to come to him 1-on-1. The third goal he should have saved.
The Doctor Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 1st - defence could have done better. 2nd - wtf were you doing weale? need to make contact. Maybe i'm being harsh but i think cunningham could have done better and just thrown himself fowards to try and block the shot. 3rd - poor defending to let their striker get such a simple header. none of them really good play by watford and instead just comical defending from us
themotivator Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 if weale had smashed that into the other half he would have made the right descision and everyone would have been content, but he missed the ball (unfortunate) and they scored. looked like bad defending in the build up on a shit surface. i could make excuses up all day, but thats football isn't it. i hope he wont go on making these kind of mistakes every week, or will he? the good news is that he popped into my coffee shop today and had an espresso so he should be nice and alert from now on.
Kitchandro Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 I hate to say it but you just can't make errors like Weale has made in the last 2 away games. I agree completely that the defence is initially to blame (even with the one at Bristol when Naughton wasn't concentrating) but if you are a goalkeeper you can't miskick it on the edge of your own box leaving them an open goal. I think he's a good goalkeeper but he has to take responsibility for his errors and we can't afford them.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 December 2010 Posted 6 December 2010 First time I've seen these. Weale's time is surely up come January.
