Get a grip people. We were awful the first 40 minutes (basically until we subbed Bednar for Dyer) and many other teams would have already been 3-0 by half time.

We got a stroke of luck (and not before time!) which raised the spirits and an injury allowed us to make a change that should have been made anyway. The second half was a BIG improvement, but we still looked shakey at the back, Donny should have scored in the second half too, but seemed more inclined to shoot themselves in the foot.

I'm not saying I'm not happy, just not getting carried away by the result. No OMS here tonight.

We beat one of the best footballing sides in the division 5-1 after going a goal behind and people are belittling it. I despair.

not knocking the second half performance. brilliant result, great to see the goals flying in. I'm ecstatic that we won and i encourage every fan to bask in the glory, but may i remind you that this thread is subtitled premiership quality.

... bit ott thats all.

Second half we were pretty damned near to Premiership quality at times, the break for Naughton's goal was absolutely sublime and the quality of the passing was top notch. The first half was woeful but the second half was some of the best football we've played at the Walkers in quite some time. This doesn't make us a Premiership quality side but there's no doubting this was a very, very good day at the office.

To quote myself, the first post of this thread, some of the passing and work rate was close to Premiership quality - and yes I subtitled the topic "Premiership quality".

I agree, the first half had it downsides, we were lucky with the penalty, but generelly the second half we totally outplayed - and to use a gamer phrase, owned, Doncaster. A team that is a good, solid team - even ahead of us before the match in the table.

So why did I go out and blow the premiership trumpet? Because I felt pride and watching our side gel, play some fantastic football and get a tremendous result at home in front of a bumper crowd. Is it Premiership quality? 2nd half definitely is, because at the lower half of the Premiership a few sides we will beat with a 2nd-half like this - no doubt. There are 16 other teams than the big 4, and in all fairness, on a day like this I am as a Foxes fan allowed to blow a trumpet of Premiership dream&hope&pride after a demolishing of a good Championship side.

If I were as grumpy as a few of you comes around as, I would seriously start considering bocca or miniature-golf instead of enjoying good football - which I for one witnessed today. ;):trumpet:

doncaster might be a decent side usually, I don't really know enough to pass judgement but today they were shite, and our first half display was fvcking diar.

we're ridiculously inconsistent.

that said, I'm chuffed that we won 5-1 and that I got to see it for just a fiver cause i got an uner 18. bring on ipswich :scarf:

To hit 5 home or away is pretty special, Donny are no mugs and proved that first half.

We have 5 different scorers, a ref that gave us an early xmas present and Bednar is still a baggie. :scarf:

Watford, who are the only team to beat QPR this year...

My point was more that we have an away match next week and with our current inconsistency (especially on the road) it is fooking irritating to hear the same old 'premiership' here we come bollocks after one, albeit good, victory.

If we lose against ipswich the same bullshit threads will pop up sprouting 'are we moving forward under sven' and its all boring as arse.

Cracking performance today :D and lets keep this unbeaten run going (Oh wait....)
