hackneyfox Posted 14 December 2010 Posted 14 December 2010 As Berner seems determined to leave I was wondering if anyone had any idea of how Kennedy was getting on with his loan at Rochdale? I can see why Bebe may interest Sven as he can cover right back and centre half but we have no cover left back once Berner leaves.
Bettsj2 Posted 14 December 2010 Posted 14 December 2010 From the brief glimpses of Tom Kennedy, I came to the conclusion that he was crap. If his loan is going well I hope he goes there permanantly. We'll get better in January. We no longer need to be scumming around in the lower leagues looking for a 'gem'

We no longer need to be scumming around in the lower leagues looking for a 'gem' I think that is very harsh, he looked in a similar mould to Cunnigham and has a great left foot for set pieces.

Nothing personal to the lad but the only similarity to Cunningham is the position they play. He's League 1 at best. The right back equivalent would be Kerrea Gilbert.

How many actual minutes have you seen him play? He may well be crap, but really you have no clue on how he could fare in the Championship!
hackneyfox Posted 14 December 2010 Author Posted 14 December 2010 Doncaster were trying to sign him before we stepped in, and a number of other clubs were sniffing. We'll need cover though if he isn't coming back. I now make that 2 goalies 6 defenders 2 midfielders 2 goal scorers

hackneyfox Posted 14 December 2010 Author Posted 14 December 2010 Well the 6 defenders do include the 4 we have on loan, so just the 8 new signings and I'll be happy.

Tuna Posted 14 December 2010 Posted 14 December 2010 Its a bit unfair to label Kennedy 'Crap'; he seems an honest hard working lad, just obviously not of sufficient quality for this division. He would have made an adequete deputy for Berner, but the club has moved on in terms of the quality type of player we are now recruiting, and he has been left behind.

He's not crap, he's just not good enough to play at this level or higher. Bye Tom. Bye.
ajthefox Posted 14 December 2010 Posted 14 December 2010 He is crap and he'll never fare well in the Championship. Sorry CITEH avoided questioning of how much of him you've actually seen of him nicely there, well done.
Bettsj2 Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 avoided questioning of how much of him you've actually seen of him nicely there, well done. Oh sorry, I've seen him in the following games: - Home to Macclesfield Away at Leeds in the cup Away at Portsmouth in the cup Norwich Away I saw him in a reserve game as well but I cant quite remember who that was against. I can honestly say that in all the games listed above, his positional sense wasn't great, he was pretty poor in the air, not particularly strong and his crossing was hit and miss. Sorry to upset you but he's just not very good.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 Cant say i actually saw KENNEDY in any games before he went on loan to Rochdale however its always good to keep an open mind, he may just need a bit of confidence, which he will get on loan at Dale!

He's 25. If he's not able now to operate at this level then he never will be. Bye Tom.
