iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 Basically I am stuck on AC and DC generators. Can anyone in relatively simple terms tell me how a DC generator works (fleming's right hand rule side of things). And also how an AC operates differently to a DC generator. Any help would be appreiciated
DB11 Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 Would any Google search not be more helpful than FoxesTalk?
Fox You Forest Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 You have to earn the right to smash up the Treasury, do your own homework.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 15 December 2010 Author Posted 15 December 2010 Would any Google search not be more helpful than FoxesTalk? Nah tried that before. A load of nerds going well too in depth for me You have to earn the right to smash up the Treasury, do your own homework. I don't go Uni .. And because some tw@ts did that, I presume you tarnish all students with the same brush
AoWW Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 You only have to scan the first half-dozen or so results from google to find some fairly simple explanations - so simple, in fact, even I could understand them and I don't have a scientific bone in my body! But, seriously, asking this on a football forum.....

AoWW Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 No, I'm implying that there are other, more appropriate, forums where someone might be daft enough to do his homework for him.
Daggers Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 Nah tried that before. A load of nerds going well too in depth for me In which case, try this: DC Generators - As current passes into the DC generator it looks well buff, blood. It does shit an stuff an then the generation takes place. There, I hope that helps. Let us know when you get given your A*.
Daggers Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 In other news, if you can't understand or find BBC Bitesize site then you ought to give up Physics.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 15 December 2010 Author Posted 15 December 2010 Anything for an easy life ? If someone on here gave me the info im looking for without me having to search through thousand of pages, then its well worth looking a numpty.
Jackirius Posted 15 December 2010 Posted 15 December 2010 DC generator sorts the Direct Currents from the Alternating Currents i think and put them down different paths. Direct Currents (DC) flow in one direction orderly. Alternating Currents (AC) do not flow in one direction, they jump around in all different directions. I think that is it, hopefully i learnt something from my 3 months doing Electronics AS level before i dropped it.
