Corky Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Matty's problem was that he stepped up to too many plates He was a smashing bunch of lads though.
Haydos Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Selling our only natural goalscorer...well probably something i would have preffered to have waited until we got another one in place This bullshit needs to stop. It's completely void now. He hasn't looked anything like the player he was last season and doesn't want to be here any more. It's getting boring saying 'get the **** over it'.
Legend_in_blue Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 The only times when he really put a decent shift in were in his first season where many of his goals saved Kelly and us from a relegation dog fight. The second time he put a decent shift in was in league one, where defenders take as long as an articulated lorry to get themselves mobile. This sums him up. An excellent player at league one level and an average one at best in this.
Webbo Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 He could only miss all these sitters because he was in a position to take a shot in the first place. Players like Hume and Waghorn run about all day and never get a chance to shoot but people think they are/were wonderful because they work hard. Fryatt wasn't perfect, none of our players are, I accepted he was going in October but all this " he was just an average league 1 player" is total bullshit.
fatmando Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Not missing him yet...we are scoring goals! I do wonder how Sven sees it. He sold our highest scoring player for the last few seasons. It doesn't make sense on paper. Did he have doubts about doing so, or did he just think he was shite from the off and couldn't get rid of him quick enough?? Just hope he brings in someone better....fast.
phillthefox Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO , MATTY WHO!!!!!!!!! as much use as a chocolate tea pot !!!!!!
Pegosteve Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Fryatt appears to be one of those players who needs to be told how good he is and responds to perhaps just one manager that being NP. Looking to the future is he premiership class I would say no so if our ambitions are to get there we need people on board now capable of playing there and I don't think he is. So no move on, good luck to Matty sure he will do well with NP but he is not our future.
Jacnah Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Anyone would think Fryatt was some messiah... yes he scored important goals but he also missed a shed load of sitters and scuppered goal scoring chances with his greedyness. If we want promotion we need bettter than Fryatt. I'd happily take Vassel over Fryatt any day of the week. This..............but not because of any complaints about fryatt..just that Vassel is, I think, better
AndyBrew Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Couldn't care less, average player, scores in average leagues, unfortunately the championship is above average!
