Had a couple of tweets back from Paul Malignaggi, but thats about the extent of my twitter stardom. Didnt really sign up to get twitter followers just wanted to save time- 1 minute reading tweets = better than clicking on bbc sport, sky sports bbc news ect ect. all headlines are in the same place on twitter...

Damn I now feel like a dirty dirty attention whore, as I've joined something that I don't necessarily need to. Perhaps I am capable of being pressured by cultural change?

There's nothing on there, and until I've got a grasp of how I can utilise it without boring the shite out of people. You can 'follow me etc'. I'm sure something will pop into my little brain.

Alan sugar is in my list. He keeps on about Spurs though. Also following Robbie Savage. In one tweet he said some one said he reminded them of the lady that delivers the milk.

Its useful if you want visitors to a website or promoting something. A great number of businesses use it now as well as Facebook. Still not sure how it all works. I post something on somebodys elses page and I am not sure if they will see it as it doesnt appear. It appears on my page though so will those that see follow me see it even if its not meant for them?

Also have Everards brewery following me. I posted a link to the article I wrote about pubs and had a reply off them complementing me on it. So that may be something I could mention at job interviews. I've heard of people getting jobs through twitter.

@kenatcb a very interesting article Ken.You raise some very valid points which are close to our values as a brewery and pub company.

My missus works in the online marketing world, so I am aware of its strength and influence. My reluctance is simply based on how I use it. I'm just a simpleton who writes words that some agree with others do not. Not much to sell really, but I'm hoping something like linking up with like minds will increase readership. I have slated twitter and perhaps I may eat my words, or my words will prove to haunt me. But time will tell.

Thanks for the support.

It's also just reminded me that I was bidding on Sodastreams on eBay while drunk at the pub last Thursday. If these past two posts haven't inspired you to join then I don't know what will.

Brilliant! Did you buy one?
