Alf Bentley Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 Good tactics by BCFC, I thought: 1st half: well-organised, good closing down, zero midfield creativity but long diagonal balls from deep forced our full-backs to stay back more than usual. Decent passing by BCFC in 2nd half as game opened up, but helped by substandard LCFC effort. Re. BCFC players: sound defence, except the left-back (McAllister?); little midfield creativity 1st half, much better 2nd half when we left you the space; both wingers (Adoma & Woolford?) looked decent; little from your starting strikers (little service, to be fair) but Maynard looked mobile - but ring-rusty, so missed a couple of chances. Commitment and organisation alone should ensure you stay up...with Maynard returning, I'd expect you to pull away to safety. Re. LCFC: points will be dropped at Cardiff & QPR if that performance is repeated...still hopeful of play-offs, at least, though. Away support was surprisingly quiet (I've been to BCFC games before with a Bristol mate so was surprised at that). We probably didn't deserve the winner, but Waghorn did - and we had a number of unlucky defeats earlier in the season. C'est la vie!

In the playoffs what was the away support like? Didn't notice them but I was 50 yards away from them and finally, did you deserve the injury time winner? Based on our second half display, we were very lucky to win the game. Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 did we play as well as it sounded on the radio in the second half? - dunno how it sounded on the radio but you were better than us in my opinion. any stand out performers from us good or bad? - adomah on the wing stood out a mile, caused us a threat all game. are we good enough to stay up? - i think so, your 6 points above the relegation zone with a good squad. players like james, maynard, keough, adomah too good for leauge 1. where do you think you will finish this season? - play offs hopefully what was the away support like? - long way to travel on a friday night, was one of the quietest all season and finally, did you deserve the injury time winner? - i personally felt bristol were the better side however others may disagree. us robbing the game from you is similar to what happened at ashton gate, we dominated for the whole game and somehow got beat 2-0.

Just better than you did in the first period, which wouldn't have been difficult! any stand out performers from us good or bad? David James was poor. Very poor. Campbell-Ryce looked the biggest threat once he arrived, gave Van Aanholt a few scares. are we good enough to stay up? Derby, Sheffield United, PNE, S****horpe etc are far worse. If Maynard can gather any kind of form, there's no doubt you'll stay up. where do you think you will finish this season? Most probably around your current position. No higher than 15th. what was the away support like? Quiet from where I was sitting. and finally, did you deserve the injury time winner? Neither side deserved to win, but if one had to edge it, I'd choose us (obviously)

bcfc_fan Posted 19 February 2011 Author Posted 19 February 2011 Pessimistic or overly cautious prediction i think he mis-read the question. thanks for all your feedback guys. sounds like we were having the same issues as every other game with no creativity in midfield. albert on the right has been a revelation since joining from barnet. one last question, did woolford on the left play well or get into the game, i've yet to be convinced with him since signing?

You might be better off asking on your own forums mate, peope on there would probably have taken more notice of your individual performances than us lot.

But we battered you first half and should have scored more. any stand out performers from us good or bad? - The goalscorer had a cracking game, and Campbell-Ryce when he came on. are we good enough to stay up? - Easily. where do you think you will finish this season? - 10th what was the away support like? Not the best, but not the worst. Only taking 400 tops is abit poor if you ask me. and finally, did you deserve the injury time winner? - For how well we played in the first half I'm going to say yes.
