Captain... Sounds like Nyatanga was solid when he came on, and that Fontaine are we good enough to stay up? Yes, especially with the likes of Preston and Scunny down low where do you think you will finish this season? 2nd and finally, did you deserve the injury time winner? Yeh y not
Callabinho Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Well you looked a-bit disjointed at times today, and if it wasn't for Ricardo you wouldn't have scored, you showed grit a determination but i think class prevailed in the end! you should be fine to avoid the drop though.
Leicfox Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 From listening to the Radio... did we play as well as it sounded on the radio in the second half? Yes i thought you played well the whole game and didn't really deserve to lose that, Keith Millen brought his team with the right tactics, to stop us playing football and it worked on the whole. any stand out performers from us good or bad? Don't know. are we good enough to stay up? Definately if you play like that. where do you think you will finish this season? Play-offs mininum, what was the away support like? I wasn't there. and finally, did you deserve the injury time winner? No. But good teams play poorly and win.
Lillehamring Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 from the commentary it didn't sound as much like 'how good were bristol', as 'how bad were leicester'.
Fox1651 Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 You will survive - by the sounds of it Leicester were not as good as they have recently been playing or im afraid we would have won 4-1 or 5-1 or so but well done you restricted us to 2-1

Bit harsh on Ricardo for the goal having just watched it back on SSN, looked like PVA took it away from him. Did look abit suspect though.
Jfox Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 did we play as well as it sounded on the radio in the second half? You caught us on the break pretty much every time we lost the ball any stand out performers from us good or bad? The two wingers caused us quite a few problems, especially adomah. are we good enough to stay up? Easily, the best resistance we've faced in a long time where do you think you will finish this season? top 6 what was the away support like? Hardly heard them at all and i sit right next to them. and finally, did you deserve the injury time winner? Probably not, but thats football.
ScouseFox Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 You were better than us for about 80 minutes. Your midfield completely overran our usual dynamic trio and January player of the month Wellens, and Keogh threw himself about, despite getting nothing from Mee/Sol. You can consider yourselves unlucky to go home with nothing. Your defence dominated our pathetic attempt at long ball second half. All in all, I was impressed with your lot, you should be find in terms of staying up if you play like that each week. Then again, we were good and kept losing at the start of the season, so playing well and getting no points is an issue.
yorkie1999 Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 you were stronger than us physically in midfield and your right winger played well, but once david james started acting like a c**k wasting time and getting yakubu booked, the crowd started getting behind leicester and we upped the desire and that was it. If james had kept his head down it would have been 1-1.
Legend_in_blue Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Some of the opposition should have been booked for continual minor fouls. They got away with a lot. As usual, we get a nonsense booking.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Bollocks prefer it when people sit on the fence

acooling08 Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 did we play as well as it sounded on the radio in the second half? You were decent and were outplaying a poor Leicester side but you didn't create many chances. any stand out performers from us good or bad? Can't say anyone stood out, it was a pretty poor game although I was glad Campbell-Rice and Maynard didn't play as well as they could have. are we good enough to stay up? I think so. You were unlucky not to get a point at least. where do you think you will finish this season? Just inside the play offs. what was the away support like? I'll be honest, you only bought a few and they weren't very loud because it. You had a bit of a sing at 1-1 and finally, did you deserve the injury time winner? No, we played badly and if anything, you could have nicked it.
Fox92 Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 My thoughts on the Bristol City fans tonight In my opinion, tonight, Bristol City fans showed dedication and true support. Ok, we've all made it to a friday night game from wherever, but the Bristol City fans highlighted loyalty. To come and watch a struggling team (no disrespect), who are near the bottom of the table, away at Leicester (it must be 3, 4 or 5 hours away) is just fantastic. Fair play to each and every Robins supporter at the Walkers tonight... loyal support. And have a safe journey home!
ithuriel Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 will bristol city stay up ? playing like the way they did tonight, you should be able to. leicester we're not allowed to play passing football by bristol but the two leicester goals we're class. ricardo looked very vulnerable tonight with high balls into the box from the flanks.

Complete rubbish. Brizzle were competitive, and gave us very little time on the ball which did make the game scrappier than recent dominant performances - to say we were overran or that we played long ball??? ..... Maybe that's what the radio said - it wasn't what i saw.
ScouseFox Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Well it's what I saw. I don't remember Yakubu winning and directing a flick on to one of our other forwards throughout the second half, and the ball kept coming back because our midfield was nowhere to be seen.

Maybe because we weren't playing long ball to Yakubu's head?? The ball was often closed down in midfield VERY quickly - they were good when not in possession - and it's how to play us .... close the ball and give us no time. Doesn't mean we were overran or played long ball still though.
