20 minutes drive south away from the stadium and a sign says 'North Yorkshire'

So the stadium is not situated in North Yorkshire, right?

That's only the same as leaving Leicester and seeing a sign for Leicestershire. Middlesbrough, like Leicester, is a unitary authority that has it's own council, but is surround by North Yorkshire, like Leicester, is surrounded by Leicestershire, so is therefore is in North Yorkshire. Or you could just look at the sodding map.

Jesus didn't think I'd need to give geography on here.

Lost us the game, complete tool. Worst ref i have ever seen and that's not even exaggerating. Even for Bruma's red, he should NEVER have got a yellow for a fantastic tackle he made in the first half. Vassell also chased a man about 20 yards and put in one of the best tackles i have seen in a long time, and he got booked. Pitiful. He should be relegate to below the BSP, absolute wank.

Twat, lost us the game. Yes we should of been good enough to win but he booked, Yakubu, Vassell and Bruma for perfectly good tackles but letting Boro players hacking down Kamara and Naughton regardlessly.

How can you email the FLS? Want to send Lizzy some profanity and a fvcking half.

See if there is a link via the BBC site, If not we should all text in at the start of the show to air our disgust, I will for one!

I'll start giving the refs some respect, when they've got just one eye and a fooking rewind / slowmotion button. Dodgy fookers. I've said for a long time that they are the last link to outright corruption in this game and the sooner cams are in the better.

Think you'll find it is.

Middlesbrough is actually in a unitary authority called Cleveland, separate from North Yorkshire. You would be lynched for suggesting Middlesbrough were in North Yorkshire! Regardless, the referee being so local certainly had an impact and influenced the outcome of the game. He turned the game into a farce that verged on being viewed as corrupt. This man certainly has local ties and undoubtedly played on his mind as he made the most irrational decisions i have ever witnessed. Respect you say? Bollocks! You only get respect as a professional if you do a competent and professional performance. He was as crooked as they come.

He was abysmal, couldn't wait to get the yellow cards out whenever a Leicester player went anywhere near the opposition whilst somehow not distributing cautions to the Middlesbrough players.

And as for the penalty, that was some punch by whoever did it as the ball went for a throw-in. Totally ignored the incident when Yak was shoved over in the box.

Absolute crap.

Actually Cleveland was abolished in 1996. Middlesbrough is a unitary authority separate from North Yorkshire, that authority is called Middlesbrough. But it is still encompassed by North Yorkshire, the same way Leicester is by Leicestershire. Leicester is a separate unitary authority to Leicestershire, but you would never say Leicester isn't is Leicestershire would you?

Stuart Attwell's from near Coventry, yet the league let him referee our game at Ipswich. And he could hardly be accused as being biased in our favour for that one.

Neither Newcastle nor Sunderland are renowned for their love of Middlesbrough. As Bilo said on another thread, it's the north-east equivalent of Coventry.

If anything, we could have expected some sympathy from Mr Haines, yet the all the evidence suggests the opposite happened.

I hope the assessor will have picked up on his behaviour.
