Stevosevic Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 WHO SAYS GOLF IS BORING WHAT A FINAL DAY!!!! Is Scott FINALLY about to get something out of his potential!!! Been promising the world for a long time got up to #3 in the world and it looks like he maybe able to get a result. Still hoping Day makes a little charge. Ogivly's 5 birdies in a row was bloody brilliant Idiots.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Really hope Day doesn't win. Read Roo's post about Zoeller saying Day would win it and looked at the odds, they were 140/1. Was tempted to stick a £10 on, but chickened out. Gonna be gutted if he pulls it off now/ What ever happens he can be bloody proud of himself his been brilliant all week and held his nerve well terrific effort for a young golfer at his first Masters, See what happened to Rory it's easy for young golfers to succumb to pressure and turn to water but i reckon he has held himself well.

Nothing against the lad, he's played well. And his missus of fucking stunning too! I'm just thinking of the £1400 I could have won!
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Scott and Day both finish on -12. Hope Schwartzel fvcks it up and we get a 3 way play off.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Fuck off Schwartzel you cunt. I Would have to agree what a Weekend he is having bloody annoying
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Fair play, turned it on when it mattered, 4 birdies in his last 4. Overall feeling is just disappointment for Rory, he's completely disapeared, must be in bits.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Was hoping for a typical South African choke at the end there I'm gutted at the moment to have 3 aussies tied for the lead on the back 9 of the Masters on the final day and not have a winner is pretty deflating
Peter File Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 McIlroy was in pieces, even after he triple bogeyed he had a fair chance. Argh. That was out of the Andy Murray / John Terry / Paula Radcliffe textbook on how to choke. Enthralling session of golf, love it, just a shame there wasn't a playoff to add to the drama. At one point it looked like there would be a six-man playoff!
Haydos Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Great interview though, can't believe he's the same age as me, seems like he's been around forever.

McIlroy will never again come this near to winning a major. But at least he's qualified for next year's event, and he's still coming back with about £90k in prize money - not bad for a week's work..

Greg Norman at the Masters 1996 has to be one of the biggest chokes of all time, Leading by 6 going in to the final round and shooting a 6 over 78 was shocking to watch
accessory Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Indeed - but also quite ironic, giving that for years beforehand, he's been mouthing off about Brit golfers being bottlers and chokers. At least he'd already had two British Opens to his name by then.

Narborough_fox Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 That was so sad watching Rory yesterday, heartbreaking for the lad really hope he bounces back.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Best Masters ever in my opinion well in the last 15 years i've been watching
Stig the Lawnmower Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 oh rory, put that ball, hit an albatros, watch that birdie fvck off rather watch paint dry

Leicester Lass Posted 14 April 2011 Author Posted 14 April 2011 can't wait If you are so opposed to watching golf, why bother even coming in this thread?
Narborough_fox Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Nice to see Rory recovered well and hit a 69 in the Malaysia open despite losing his clubs. Week just got worse Little Mac as it went on.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Any one know who's leading the Texas open hoping Anthony Kim can go alright after his poor masters
Jimothy Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Any one know who's leading the Texas open hoping Anthony Kim can go alright after his poor masters Stewart Cink and JJ Henry both 5 under. Kim currently 1 over, and tied 72nd.
Leicester Lass Posted 15 April 2011 Author Posted 15 April 2011 Nice to see Rory recovered well and hit a 69 in the Malaysia open despite losing his clubs. Week just got worse Little Mac as it went on. A 64 in his second round too, exactly what he needed. So good to see it doesn't appear to have affected him too much. Will be interesting to see how he copes should he be in contention for the lead going into Sunday though. Obviously the pressure is nowhere near as intense as a Major, but he'll have a lot going through his mind I should imagine.
