Leicester Lass Posted 8 April 2011 Author Posted 8 April 2011 This has got Sergio Garcia written all over it today. 66 for the lad. Wish I was as optimistic as you! The same question will always be asked about Sergio, about whether his putting is going to be good enough. Even yesterday he looked uncomfortable over a few shortish putts, especially the one on 18 to save his par. If the weather stays as it was yesterday the greens are just going to get more and more difficult as they pick up speed, and I think he'll just get increasingly tentative and cautious on the greens which could prove to be his downfall (again). Really hope he can pull it out of the bag though.
Tommy G Posted 8 April 2011 Posted 8 April 2011 Let's hope McIlroy doesn't ''do a british open'' like last year. Would love to see him win it
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 April 2011 Posted 8 April 2011 Jason Day playing a brilliant round, well until he just bunkered it
lcfc_jme Posted 8 April 2011 Posted 8 April 2011 Day was absolutely phenomenal, to be fair to him. Bogey-free and 8 under for the round and tournament. Mesmeric golf. Tiger looked very, very good. His lowest Masters round since '05, apparently. 9 birdies in total, 5 on the back 9. Moved from 1 under to 7 under and 3 shots off the lead along with Choi. Ominous. Rory still out on his own infront on 10 under.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 I'm hoping Day gets home got on him at 126/1 to win 7/1 top aussie and 21/1 to be top 5 bring it home Day What a group it was Barnes, Mcellroy and Day future of gold right there
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 I'm Hoping today turns out to be Jason's Day.....(See what I did there!)
Ozwin Posted 9 April 2011 Posted 9 April 2011 I don't get why they use coins to display where the ball landed. You'd have thought they'd have come up with a more high tech way of doing that by now.
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Go on Tiger. McIlroy +1 after 3, looked nervous first hole and picked up a bogey. Still 1 shot in the lead, but Tiger's on the move at -3 so far and a shot for eagle on the 8th.
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 McIlory drops another, three way tie for the lead on 10 under between him, Woods and Schwartzel. This isn't going well for Rory.
Alexikokopops Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Woods is on fire! Good birdie from McIlroy there though
Ozwin Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Would be a story and a half if Tiger manages to win this.
Leicester Lass Posted 10 April 2011 Author Posted 10 April 2011 Come on Rory! Tiger has just made his job a bit easier by three-putting from nowhere on 12.
Leicester Lass Posted 10 April 2011 Author Posted 10 April 2011 How the **** did Rory get there?! All about damage limitation on this hole now.
marko Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Bottled it!!! It's going to take a great round to bring this one back, although I hope he does because i'd hate to see Tiger win.
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 All about damage limitation on this hole now. Disastrous hole, hope it doesn't cost him the Masters, but it looks like he's heading for a triple bogey.
Haydos Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Looks like it has. Tiger's about to drop an eagle as well
Leicester Lass Posted 10 April 2011 Author Posted 10 April 2011 Disastrous hole, hope it doesn't cost him the Masters, but it looks like he's heading for a triple bogey. Exactly what you don't want going into Amen corner. Massive test of character for McIlroy now.
Stig the Lawnmower Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 if there's one thing i hate more than rugby, its ****ing golf
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 So 4 on -10 with Tiger on -9 about to move to -11 if he putts that eagle chance, with day on -9 as well. Anyone's guess who's win this is.
