Leicester Lass Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 I know there'll probably not be loads of interest in this, but I know there are a few budding golfers out there who will be paying close attention to the tournament this week. Would live to see Tiger win myself, but don't think he will do, you can't win the Masters if you don't drive the ball well, which is the biggest thorn in his side at the minute. Other than Woods, a cheeky win for Sergio would definitely go down a treat
purpleronnie Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 I guess lee westwood but I'd be surprised if a yank doesn't win it. Mickelson would be my tip but its so hard to predict golf tournaments imo.

Mickelson would be my tip but its so hard to predict golf tournaments imo. You'd think it's got to be Westwood's time soon wouldn't you, I think his best chance would be if he's a couple of shots back going in to the final round. Mickelson is the favourite, and rightly so after his win and performance last week, winning two tournaments on the bounce is a big ask though.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 Mickelson Killed it at the Houston Open so will obviously be hard to beat, if I get bored at work today I'll do some for for it and have a few bets I think. Always bet on Anthony Kim top 5 for majors his bound to come good soon.
Wymsey Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 I think the Tiger will be up for this one. But Westwood will win it imo.
BoneDog Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 I always look out for Ernie Els. Love a bit of Masters action.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 Betting Types Love having a punt on the Majors Top players from each Nation/Area are my Favs gives me something to watch.
Ric Flair Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 The British and Europeans always blow it in the final few rounds at Augusta and this year will probably be no different. Luke Donald is steady round this course though and even when he falls out of contention he often worms his way back in, he'd be my pick out of the British lot this week. Although that Martin Laird has won well recently and he'll be attempting to do what only Fuzzy Zoeller has done in modern history of winning The Masters on his first attempt at the course. I love Sergio and am desperate for a renaissance from the lad, how he's never won a major is still beyond me but he does lack the killer instinct. COME ON SERGIO!!!!!

COME ON SERGIO!!!!! Nah mate look out for Jason Day, Fuzzy Zoeller has came out in the media and picked Jason Day to repeat his own feat winning on debut. I think Louis Oosthusen will do well and is good value to be the top South African and also good value for top 5.
Ric Flair Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 Would love Ishikawa to win it for Japan, this lad has masses of ability. Can't wait for it tomorrow.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 Tee Times Tomorrow I would be following 10,16 and 31 if i was there.......maybe one day i'll make it there.
Leicester Lass Posted 7 April 2011 Author Posted 7 April 2011 Luke Donald won the par 3 tournament so it's not looking good for him, unless he can break the curse! Can't wait for the start of this tonight.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 7 April 2011 Posted 7 April 2011 Oosthezuien, Jason Day, Steve Striker, Mark Wilson and Aaron Baddley are my contenders got numerous bets arouns them and of course my man Anthony Kim
Leicester Lass Posted 7 April 2011 Author Posted 7 April 2011 Goose begins his round with an eagle 2 at the first Ross Fisher putting a decent round together so far too.
AjcW Posted 7 April 2011 Posted 7 April 2011 Yang was doing nicely up until the last two then dropped 2!... Quieros with 6 left should finish at least tied with Rory.
Alexikokopops Posted 7 April 2011 Posted 7 April 2011 How is it nearly 11pm? I've got carted way gently watching this for the past couple of hours
Alexikokopops Posted 7 April 2011 Posted 7 April 2011 Every time I look up Mikelson is in the flowers or under the trees, yet somehow he's 2 under!
AjcW Posted 7 April 2011 Posted 7 April 2011 Every time I look up Mikelson is in the flowers or under the trees, yet somehow he's 2 under! He keeps pulling out absolutely ridiculous rescue shots and ends up with solid Par's, usual Mikelson really! I fancy Quieros getting -8 now.

Thank fook as i was leaving the bookies i put a sneak bet at 14/1 on Kuchar to be the top septic tank, hopefully he gives me something to follow over the weekend
Leicester Lass Posted 8 April 2011 Author Posted 8 April 2011 Every time I look up Mikelson is in the flowers or under the trees, yet somehow he's 2 under! If anyone else had played the same way he did tee-to-green they'd definitely be a couple over at least. Mickelson has an incredible ability to score well at Augusta, even when he is all over the place. Solid start for Rory, although he did the same thing at the British Open last year, then had a terrible day to follow, will be interesting to see how he copes today.
Ric Flair Posted 8 April 2011 Posted 8 April 2011 This has got Sergio Garcia written all over it today. 66 for the lad.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 April 2011 Posted 8 April 2011 Sergio has all the talent in the world but big question marks about his abilty to string 4 consitent rounds together tho. Would love him to win it tho
