Schlupp for lcfc?

Am i the only lcfc fan who thinks that Jeff Shlupp (Currently on loan till the end of the season at Brentford) deserves an lcfc start.?

To be honest the Yak is too slow and isn't good enough. I think Kamara and Schlupp would be a good pairing up front for lcfc :) :)

Schlupp'll be good, but Yak not good enough? Give me a break.

He's meant to be premier league quality on £50,000 a week at a championship club, he should be scoring every game, not a fluke of a hat trick and creating or scoring nothing in the next games?

No. But I dont think he'll get one this season with the huge competition for one as it is and its best for him to be at Brentford picking up game time.

What? lol

He can outpace many of the defenders in the league, and when he's at full speed its incredibly hard to stop him. To add to that he is probably the strongest player in the team, has superb close control and good short passing.

Not wishing to turn it into a Yak debate but I'd say hes one of if not the best of our strikers.

Yeah no doubt he is one of our best striker's, when he's on form. But he's so lazy at least 4 times at the Burnley game he was offside when the bacll went over the top because he was still running back?

Not saying Schlupp is better but I don't think people saying the Yak isn't good enough should be laughed off so easily, or are we only remembering the last 2 Leicester games as usual?

I can cope with seeing Yakubu in the team as there's only six games to go and replacing him with Schlupp - who hardly has much football league experience (only a bit) could surely dampen our chances of play-offs.

I'm remembering from when he first joined. He poses a threat to defenders. All kinds of defenders. They hate playing against huge lumps (Yak/Heskey/Howard etc etc). They're physical players and just because he doesn't score every game doesn't mean he should be written off.

There's more to a striker than just scoring. A concept many people do not seem to grasp.

But yet he got an assist and played a part in most of our attacks, holding the ball up or creating space for others to run into.

Fair point about the lack of experience, it probably is abit too late now, but next season in my opinion he definetly deserves a championship start :)

Fair point once again but a strikers main asset is his scoring ability, thats what Sven brought him to leicester for.

On the contrary, that's where I'm coming from. in the games between Bristol at home and Boro away he didn't score, and in all but one of those games he was absolutely useless. He did very little running and never made himself available. It was laziness and a quitter's attitude from players like that (and especially him) that saw us go on that poor run that has probably cost us a play-off place.

I think you mistook him for someone else, because he did none of that. That's why I had a problem with him, not just because he didn't score.

Scored 7 in 14 appearances. Works out as a goal every other game. If you think a striker will score in EVERY game, you're probably the most naive person I know.

Yeah but like i said a hat trick in one game and once he scored twice? And also once again i've said hes a PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER, he should be doing more for the club?

But is playing for Brentford of.......(drumroll) League one, and how does scoring for them in just a few games make him a P.League player already?
