broughtonblue Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 a question foy the stattos or older members amongst you. i was talking to my grandad the other day, and he said he could name the regular starting 11 from around the 1930's. only problem as he's 91 he couldn't remember the first names. i've trawled the internet and come up with a few first names but some have eluded me. i will list the surnames with the first names in brackets next to them. hoping some of you lot will be able to fill in the blanks. i dont have a copy of of fossils and foxes so cant look there. do any of you know of a website with this info? mclaren (jim) brown black (adam) ritchie heywood findley barry lockhead (arthur) chandler (arthur) hine (ernie) adcock (hugh)

acooling08 Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Wow, what a legend. I reckon LCFC should give him free season tickets for every season that he's up to it!
Guest NGoloMode Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Someone called MIR17 created a page on the 1928-29 season (season we came 2nd in the top division) recently on wikipedia. Who ever it is is always updating LCFC pages as I see their name on the history all the time. Anyway this page should help you a lot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1928%E2%80%9329_Leicester_City_F.C._season#Starting_XI
Mark Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 This has been work in progress for a while but hopefully you can find your info here - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/foxestalkdb/season.php Select the year to view whichever matches you want. Alternatively search for a certain Leicester player of the past - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/foxestalkdb/players.php

acooling08 Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 my grandad, a legend? if thats what you meant he will be very pleased with that If supporting a football team for 70+ years doesn't make you a legend, I don't know what will!
