Our side consists of... 4 Scotsmen 3 Aussies 8 Englishmen 5 Irishmen 1 Iceman 1 Dutchman 1 Gineathingy Pisses me off it does, we've got double the amount of Englishmen conpared to Scotsmen and yet we're going to be a side full of Scots Grow up, stop moaning. Who gives a shit if we're a side full of Scots anyway at the moment? I'd have a side full of Estonian bricklayers if they were good enough to push for the playoffs.

It will be 6 when Heath and Wright leave and O'Grady isn't really part of the squad yet. I don't mind too much what nationality players are but it gets boring when we only get linked with SPL players. There are some quality players in this country who we could sign and i'm confident Levein will do us proud by venturing down that route. Would like a young English striker, there's nothing better than having a quality young fellow countrymen who goes on to represent the under 21's or full team ala Joachim, Heskey and Piper.

We can all speculate, remember the bad old days under PT when we were linked to every decent youngster going but hardly signed any, and instead ended up with 2nd rate replacements. For example : Linked with Carl Cort - Signed Akinbadbuy Linked with Michael Ball - Signed Callum Davidson Linked with Lee Hendrie - Signed Matt Jones Linked with John Hartson - Signed James Scowcroft So lets take these rumours for what they are and lets be paitent and see who we actually sign because we may just end up with a Colin Kazim Richards.

And talking of Eastern European football in the last European Football Championships the Bulgars in Varna were taking generous bets on their team failing to score throughout the competition. Managed a penalty in their last match as I recall.
We need another Taggart Posted 14 June 2005 Posted 14 June 2005 Good Stat Craig, I'm not bothered about the SPL link, lets face it - if we dont sign scottish/other foreign league players - we would be signing unproven players/premiership rejects that havent done the job..... so why not test some of the Scottish Prem players, granted the SPL is hardly the biggest league in the world but the likes of Rab Douglas are proven, Celtic and Scotland number 1 for how many years? not a bad signing at all... as for Momo sylla - Martin O'neill would never do us over! so lets stop getting pissed off and be positive about next season! - it cant be as bad as 04/05!!! We need a striker, i cant see De Vries scoring many goals and if that striker has to come from scottish leagues...then so be it....lets just hope CL knows what hes doing! D :eek:
