Victory is mine Posted 28 May 2011 Posted 28 May 2011 I prey that we sign naughton for one more year and perhaps bruma but too much intrest from others teams will lure them 2 elsewhere shame tbh
shailen Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 They are all quality! Bruma and pva will play for chelsea in a few years time! It would be a shame not to see then here. Then theres naughton. I believe he will be england quality in a few years, and i pray he makes it to england squad through us!
AaronH Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 I guess vitor won't be coming back as he isn't mentioned in the article, would have been such a good signing
Gazza M Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 I am not at all surprised that Kyle Naughton is unlikely to be joining us. I think in January Warnock tried to steel him from under our noses on loan when we were trying to tie up his extension. I believe that now QPR are in the premiership that could be his likely destination. I did read somewhere (can't quite remember) that Spurs have told him he must report back to them for pre-season, so maybe he may still have a future there. The only way we would have got him was through promotion ourselves. As for PVA and Bruma, I think they just lacked experience. They have plenty of raw ability, but they were the wrong players at the wrong time for us. I think Sven was hoping to get them back and let them develop next season. I think what we need is some more experience, especially in defence, who can get the job done now. I hope we can tie up Ben Mee on a perm deal. He is an England under 21 and I feel has a bright future, but not an automatic selection for me. I hope also that we can persuade Yakubu to take a pay cut and join us permenantly and I think Kamara on a free would be a useful aquisition. As for Vitor, I think we will get priced out of the market and i can see him staying put or joining a foreign outfit. He is also injury prone and not essential to our future success in my eyes. I think Tunchev could prove very important if he gets through pre-season and I would like another experienced CB to come in to give us four options, along with Mee and Bamba. Hobbs is Nigel bound for sure.
ajthefox Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Naughton: Disappointed but not surprised, he's a fine player. Bruma: Have seen potential and wouldn't mind him coming back. Van Aanholt: Wasn't impressed and not fussed. Agree with all 3 of these.
stix Posted 31 May 2011 Posted 31 May 2011 Mancienne having medical at Hamburg according to SSN. Could mean one of Bruma/PVA could still be available.
Ash Posted 31 May 2011 Posted 31 May 2011 Naughton - Deserves his chance in the Spurs first team, Premieship quality Bruma - Didnt feel confident with him at CB, Looked better in Midfield Van Aanholt - Attacking wise he was brilliant, But another one i didnt feel confident in his defensive ability
