Spudulike Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 ...for the Real Madrid match Currently (according to Wiki) the record for football is 32,148 v Newcastle Utd in 2003 and 32,488 for rugby. It would be nice to beat the record (for a chuffing rugger match, ffs) given the match won't have segregation. Could happen
Ashley Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Seats have been removed since I think. Seats what are removed is the segregation between L and N where the police stand on the stairs.
Jace Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 yeah dont think it will be possible to beat that rugby attendance now some of the segregation seats have been removed wasnt it 32500 exactly before then?
nuttytimmy Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Freemen's Wharf? Pedantic name for the stadium avoiding sponsorship, since that's where it is...
Guest DavidJCW Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Pedantic name for the stadium avoiding sponsorship, since that's where it is... Thought Freemen's Wharf was across the water... where the housing complex is. That's Filbert Way...
Spudulike Posted 14 July 2011 Author Posted 14 July 2011 Thought Freemen's Wharf was across the water... where the housing complex is. That's Filbert Way... Nope, Freemen's Wharf is where it is. That's what it was known as before it got sponsored (well before Filbert Way was dreamt up). ps. the housing complex over t'water is Bede Island where the original stadium was planned to be before Freemen's Wharf became available.

Or, we could just call it its name; King Power Stadium to save all the arguments and pettiness.. Just a thought
