Rincewind Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I have an electric bike I think I ought to get rid of. Bought it a few years ago off Ebay. Never been good on bikes (something to do with my balance) and thought that an electric would be different. Went to the cycle parking place in the Town Hall square and had them put it together and bought all the necessary safety gear. Helmet light gloves basket and a chain lock. All together it cost me around £200. Never been on the road. It works OK apart from the fact the fuse that connects to the battery is a bit fiddly. No idea what they sell for but if anyone makes an offer and can collect it as it is I will consider selling. As far as I recall the battery is charged up. It is just sitting in my kitchen in the way. When I had it put together I tried riding it back home. Finished up pushing it. I could not get the hang of controlling the speed and gears. It would be great for going uphills and downhills you switch it off and use it like a normal bike. I think the battery can do around 20 miles before recharging.
