definately a long way off the promtion places, 11th currently(alphabetical order) and may finish where we start

Doesnt this sort of statement from a city fan annoy everyone? I completely agree with Thracian and fans/players that will be considering anything but promotion/play-offs as a 'good' season are not true blue. you cant settle for a mid table finish - that sort of opinion will get you about as far as forest!

Why shouldnt we do well next season? less of the negative attitudes - its only june....theres more than a month left of pre-season and it doesnt take 24 hours to sign a player, all i can say is Up the Foxes and bring on Shef Utd and Fat Neil Warnock!!!!

Agreed! I was a bit negative and too quick to criticse the team last year but im keeping the faith this season! Its what every City fan should do and i beleive that with the management in atm can take Leicester back to the Premiership and keep us there!

KEEP THE FAITH!!!

Not everyone - Some people are willing to remain realistic about our chances.

Its not unrealistic to say we will finish high, we have a good squad with a good manager - a few more quality signings and we will have as gooder squad as most other big teams in the league...In my opinion.

And it's not unrealistic to say we could finish in the same position as last season. We currently have a weaker squad than last season at present, however, that should hopefully change within the next few weeks.

Our biggest problem is our inability to score goals, as illustrated painfully by last season. Connolly could get 20 - But what about Dublin and de Vries? We also need goals from midfield, and while the likes of Williams and Hughes are talented players, they've never been the prolific of goalscorers in their careers.

Point taken - the season could go either way in my opinion - but my first point was only to suggest that negative views arent what we need... yeh we could 15th again - but we could do better - i believe that the squad will be better than last season only due to the change in management - adams out, levein in was a massive boost for us and with his first pre-season underway...who knows...end of last season looked good as he was starting to get them to play his way, i always think new managers need the summer to show what they can really do to the squad.....Keep the faith!

i will support leicester as much as the next guy next season but i am just being honest, and i don't think we have a chance of promotion we have bought in a few new players but have also let a few go so this squad is new and yet to gel, think levein has a long term plan.

I honestly think we'll be around the playoff places next season, providing that we can keep injuries and cards down to a minimum. We were also dogged by bad luck last season,so lets hope theres no repeat of that!!. There will be more signings, weve just got to remain patient and faithful in the managers good eye for a player. I don't think we need that greater improvement as not to many teams caught my eye last season. We're all like kidz in a candy shop at the minute when it comes to new signings but im sure craig has plenty of ideas up his sleeves.Roll on the coming season and KEEP THE FAITH....i could go on to name players i fancy as everyone else does but i feel im above all that!!!!!!!!!..........................................................................................................................................ps kenton, laursen and stewart please!!!!

I think we should have snapped up Stewart from Sunderland - He may be old but he was top scorer for top side last season.

very much agree

17 goals - Just 4 more than Connolly, who was playing for a team who finished 15th in the league.

He weren't their penalty taker though right? Was it Lawrence? I'm not sure on this...

I don't think it matters if Stewart was the penalty taker or not, a goal is a goal irrespective of how it's scored...

I think it does, as Connolly scored a few penalties and you were arguing against Stewart's goal tally, and if he didn't take penalties, it deserves more credit. It's easier to score a penalty!

You've been learning from the school of Ade Akinbiyi and Trevor Benjamin I take it! :P

Not necessarily - A lot of players buckle under the pressure - Look at the likes of Henry and Horse, who have missed quite a few. Some strikers are more at ease when they don't have time to think about things.

If its just the penalties you might as well bring Matt Le Tissier out of retirement. :D

By the way has anyone seen the video of his best goals. Awesome.

I still maintain that a penalty doesn't deserve as much credit as a goal in open play!

129389[/snapback]

Perhaps not, but you still have to convert the penalties. Some strikers find it easier than others. If Stewart wasn't Sunderland's penalty taker, then you have to question why that is.
