Fox92 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 So, them numbers from the game are the numbers? I can't see Nugent wearing 35 though
HEGGSY Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 So, them numbers from the game are the numbers? I can't see Nugent wearing 35 though Its just down to preference I suppose considering the numbers normally associated with a striker (9 & 10) are already taken
Raw Dykes Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I know it's not really important, but here's what I would have done: 1 - Schmeichel 2 - Pantsil 3 - Koncheskey 4 - Bamba 5 - Mills 6 - Johnson 7 - Gallagher 8 - Fernandes 9 - Nugent 10 - (New striker) 11 - Vassell 12 - St Ledger 13 - Weale 14 - King 15 - Dyer 16 - Wellens 17 - Danns 18 - Tunchev 19 - Howard 20 - Waghorn 21 - Ball 22 - Peltier 23 - Moussa 24 - Oakley 25 - Berner 26 - Abe 27 - Schlupp
TheUltimateWinner Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 King - 10 Johnson - 17 Schmiechel - 1 Peltier - 2 Mills - 5 Oakley - 8 Danns - 23 Vassell - 13
Raw Dykes Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 King's 14? You sure Don't worry - I don't get to hand out shirt numbers. I just think of #10 as a striker's number.
Petchy Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 I posted a near full list yet UltimateWinner still felt it was necessary to post those?
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Well the numbers the players played in today I think will be there numbers for the season
millzi Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Don't worry - I don't get to hand out shirt numbers. I just think of #10 as a striker's number. William Gallas
Fox92 Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 I think yesterday's numbers are as close as they are going to get, although it does say on the program 'numbers subject to change'. Its just down to preference I suppose considering the numbers normally associated with a striker (9 & 10) are already taken True. William Gallas I always wondered why Gallas had 10, but Wenger said that it was because he didn't want any of the Arsenal strikers under pressure wearing Bergkamp's number.
Alexikokopops Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 I always wondered why Gallas had 10, but Wenger said that it was because he didn't want any of the Arsenal strikers under pressure wearing Bergkamp's number. I heard it was because he didn't want number 3 (the defender number that was free after Cole went the other way) because he didn't want to be associated in any way with the left back position (after getting so annoyed at playing there for Chelsea).
