Karljohn Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Always enjoy Barnsley but will miss this year due to hols, Leeds will be a good day out, enjoyed Burnley last year despite the shocking performance but the best for me will be Cov.
Dan Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Cov I really don't know about - I thought last year we were marginally better than usual but still generally poor. With it being first day you don't know what to expect.
accessory Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Correct. Each dance costs a quid. Brilliant place. Go there before the england games, but millwll away was the first time most of my mates went there. Loved it. Til a fat geordie ran on stage and got bollock naked himself! Gazza? Seriously, avoid the place like the plague. I visited it once after an Arsenal game. It's seriously tacky and the beer is foul. In London for New Year, so will look forward to Palace. West Ham is seriously over-rated (NO safe pubs to drink near there, similar to Millwall) and will probably be the most expensive place to visit. Also looking forward to Brighton as it's the only ground in this division I've not been to.
Guest MattP Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Ain't the flying scotman, that seedy little strip joint outside st pan?? Yep, disgusting. If you are from London they all go to the griffin, exactly the same, quid a dance etc etc but decent beer and a far more relaxed atmosphere.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Just decided to get tickets to cov, hopefully we'll be on song with it being day 1 and all that. And one of my clients has invited me to his box for palace away (doesn't really count though cos I'll be in the home end, but you don't bite the hand that feeds do ya!) Wanted to do Blackpool but a Tuesday night makes that less likely now - always had a great time at Barnsley and had one of the best nights out of my life there
stix Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Gonna try and get to as many as possible but with me working nights the tuesday/wednesday nighters are a no-go. Would like to do... West Ham Millwall Peterboro Forest Cov Derby Barnsley Brighton Southampton Cardiff Brizzle ...as a minimum but i havent checked the dates yet and no doubt some of the original dates are gonna change! Really beginning to look forward to the coming season now.
scinnell Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 Love leeds, through there sheman of a steward! Shlaggggg!!
CosbehFox Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 Leeds this season will at least be £34, they have moved their away fans.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 July 2011 Author Posted 25 July 2011 Where to? In the cup we were behind the goal, in the league we were in the corner.
CosbehFox Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 Where to? In the cup we were behind the goal, in the league we were in the corner. Quote from a Leeds fan - West Stand will be used from September 10th which is the side where the dugouts and media are. ''Yes, Upper and Lower. I doubt many teams would bring enough to need both sections opening though. Boro and Hull are both Category A games and are paying £31 adult & £21 U16 in the South stand. (there's are first two home games of their season. Prices in the West are £36 (CatA), £34 (CatB) and £28 (CatC). I think you'll be CatB so £34 (referring to Southampton). There's no concession tickets available for home fans in the west so I'm not sure if away fans will be allowed them. '' Basically it's Bates ensuring that he gets more money. All the money they have recently made has been invested in building more corporate facilities in the big three tiered stand there.
